This book oh my god 😭❤️

Cover for the book Cursed City by Kate Golden

My Goodreads review:

Easiest 5 stars I've given in a while.
Oh my god??? This had me in the biggest chokehold from the first to the last page. I'm not exaggerating when I say that I just spend 5 minutes with my jaw dropped wide open staring at the wall because of that ending.

Reid can get fucked.
Deacon just became the love of my life.
Viv immediately made it in my top 10 fmc's.
The found family trope gets me every damn time.
And Penny truly is the real mvp.

Part of me is excited, but a big part of me is also so upset 😭 I'm going to a midnight release, and have planned a buddy read with some friends on release day I feel like this is now ruined! And morally I want to wait a week, but I'm also desperate to read it. Especially now that I can 😭

Living in Paris I'm not unknown to these kinds of situations. But it's pretty bad right now. Haven't seen it this bad since the covid riots.

We're fine for now! Slightly scary since we haven't seen the city like this since covid, but we're both okay ❤️

Can confirm that this happened to innocent people too Multiple truths are happening at the same time. Peaceful protests, police brutality, looters....

I love being potentially stuck at home with an evening curfew because a bunch of hooligans decided to use a peaceful protest as an excuse to light my city on fire 🙄

Nobody talk to me for 5-7 business days after I'm done re-reading Sunrise On The Reaping next month followed by watching the movie I just KNOW that I'm gonna be emotionally destroyed for a good while 😭💔

Mind you I have seen so many posts of people judging the outfits for this event, and ranking Taylor at the bottom. She looks literally like Cinderella, a princess headed to the ball 😫🩵

I had to take my partner to the hospital because he accidentally got stuck in a protest and got hit by tear gas and flying debris. The thing I love about the French is that they're willing to get off their ass and actually FIGHT for basic human rights. But it's also the thing I hate.

Onyx Storm is my number 1 favourite book of all time. It truly altered my brain chemistry. After 1.5 years, I finally left the asylum only a couple of months ago. But between Threshing Day, my Empyrean re-read and the Fourth Wing cast announcement, I'M RIGHT BACK IN BASGIATH WITH MY XADEN 😭❤️

I'm rereading the empyrean and just falling even deeper in love with the fourth wing universe! This truly is my favourite book series ever 🥹 I need it injected in my veins honestly

You're going to love Violet. She's smart and stubborn.

Reminds me a lot of you, actually.

You just have to remember when you meet her: she's not her mother.

I've seen that too and I'm like??? Maysilee is the Peeta in Haymitch's story. While the relationship between Haymitch and Maysilee is different from Katniss and Peeta, they are equally both two sets of main characters 🙄 So obviously the lead will get more promo??

It's that time of the year again where the ankle biting chihuahuas come out of the woodwork to yell that "reading 100 books a year isn't reading". So let me make this VERY FUCKING CLEAR: ✨️ Yes reading 100+ books a year is valid ✨️ Yes audiobooks count ✨️ Yes re-reads count

I doubt you're gonna understand any of the acotar books going forward without reading cc3, just a heads up. cc3 deeply sets up the future of the acotar series! Cc1 starts off slow, I had to reread the beginning like 3 times 💀 But ended up given all three books 5 stars. Please try again 😭

CC3 is entirely and deeply connected to ACOTAR. And you won't understand CC3 without CC1 and CC2. Give it another chance, I promise you won't regret it!

Then you don't have good ones, or ones that fit you properly. I have around 20 pairs of cowboy boots, and never this issue! For work I swear by my Tecovas. And if you purchase them at a proper store specialized in it, they will steam and bend them to fit you properly (just like a cowboy hat).

So I'm a fan of The Hunger Games. But it's supposed to be fictional, not a fucking "how to" guide. This is so Capitol coded that it makes me sick
