Managed to cut the lawn after finding my hedge trimmer in daughter’s bedroom. (She was holding it while k was decorating my own room). Glad to have made a start despite the rain today but the nettles definitely fought back as I am covered in stings 😩 I may clean out the fire pit for later 🤔

Teens have had fun decorating their advent calendars. This was an absolute bargain and I’m super excited about seeing them again next year!! (Middle one is using a more intricate design idea so is taking longer but we never intended for them to be rushed)

this beautiful picture is from Reena Life (@willowade) who writes " I have many fave moments but below, the picture of all the Lifelings together is what I think encompasses everything for us as all the children were baptised at that font and each of them have memories of their own baptisms. For me it represents the family within the church that made me feel I belonged there from the moment I stepped through the doors.
We were originally only planning on doing our baptism preparation locally and wanted to have the event elsewhere but St Stephen made us feel as though this is where we were called to be and it set off a domino of events for the rest of our lives. The more I learned about the church's history and that of our founder, the more it felt right that we were here.

My daughter bought me tickets to see Wicked The Musical at the Apollo for my Xmas pressie. Six months on, we have finally been. Despite living on the same road as the show for almost twenty years, I’d never actually seen it 🙈 Enjoyed a couple of Wicked cocktails before the show

Christmas Eve pamper packs are also ready. Each #Lifeling and their respective partners gets one so we can enjoy something of a Christmas together even when we are apart. There is also a matching pyjama to go alongside this but they have just been washed so no pics.

I haven’t had a Christmas with cats for a while (four years) so I had completely forgotten how much they love to ‘play’ with the tree. Unfortunately, Merlin is a little heavy for the artificial one we have and so beads have had to be removed 🤦🏽‍♀️

Hoped for a day at Beach and Parc Güell yesterday. Didn’t end up getting tx in time. Bloody good thing because it hammered down with rain & I had to buy new clothes after getting drenched. We were lucky enough to get tickets to the Casa Batlló instead and did the park today in the blazing sunshine ☀️

Good flight. Huge delays at passports (because we got caught up with all the non-EU students arriving). Smooth check in with an upgrade at the hotel followed by an exquisite meal. Birthday countdown is on ⏰

Older teen had a mini tantrum yesterday because the cat had licked the spoon they were using to stir the food. Thankfully, this has been the only trauma either have suffered since their return lasts last night. The cat shows no remorse.
