in the name of doing "bad" art on purpose, i give you: a creachure drawn in minutes with my finger on a sketch app on the phone
white sketch on black background of some sort of chupacabra-esque creature looking surprised to have been caught in sight. the creature has big sketchy white circles for eyes, and 3 sketchy white spines on its back. it has small peets and seems to be somewhat furry.
there is writing on the left that says "oops I am a freak", and between the creatures legs that says "WOT"- a short version of the artists signature.white sketch on black background of some sort of chupacabra-esque creature sitting somewhat like a dog. the creatures eyes are shut, and 2 sketchy white spines on its back can be seen sticking out on the right. it has small peets and seems to be somewhat furry.
there is writing on the upper left that says "a creachure" with a heart underneath, handwriting on the immediate left that is the ":3" face with text lines pointing to the creatures mouth region, and between the creatures legs that says "WOT"- a short version of the artists signature.

made a naughty sketch while having art block >:3 💪
a sketch of a nude middle aged rat man laying his back while reaching under himself to spread his booty cheeks. he has a vagina and an erect clitoris. his belly is a bit big and round and he has a happy trail running all the way from his curly beard down to his pubic region. he has no nipples. his beard curls onto his cheeks cupping under his eyes, which are making a soft longing expression. his beard also curls up over his face and nose as he is tilting his head to look down at the viewer. a huff of air comes from his head. one of his ears is folded down lazily.

pnw person here~ we have annual wildfire seasons. if you need a lil extra air filtering indoors, you can make one of these babies as well. ✌️ stay safe everyone!
an infographic about how to make a low cost air filter. you need a box gan, a 20 inch by 20 inch by 1 inch furnace filter (MERV 13 or FDR 10), and you need either duct tape or bungee cords.
1- place filter on back (air intake side) of fan. - caution, make sure that the arrow on the side of the filter is pointing towards the fan.
2- use the duct tape or bungee cords to attach the filter securely to the fan. - caution, use tape or cords only around the edges; do not block the airflow through the fan.
3- place in an area away from any obstacles and turn the fan on. run the fan on high for a few hours if your indoor air quality is already poor, then turn it to medium to keep it clean
4- keep all windows and doors closed to prevent new smoke from getting into your home!

If you see this, show your orange art! 🧡
an assortment of mushrooms harvested in early autumn- peach-colored chanterelles, white crested coral fungus, and lobster mushrooms which are a deep orange with white interior.a firey bovid-looking man with chest of firey hair going down his belly, his beard, mustache and eyebrows are firey, and his firey hair is tied back in a should length pony tail, with a large teal bead. he dona a golden tiara and has red hot glowing molten horns. his irises are orange exterior fading to yellow as they get closer to his black slitted pupils. there is a text bubble coming from is exhausted gnarled face saying "ugh... come on dude..."a gentle orange sunset above the rolling waves. the sun is still above the ocean but just enough to fit another sun beneath it.

I LOVE THE PACIFIC NORTHWEST!! found these DELICIOUS little apples today 🥰🥰🥰
a fistful tiny golden apples the size of large cherries - likely crabapple. there are 6 in total, 1 having been eaten to its core. s single little apple seed can be seen in the core. the stems are long and also resemble cherries..a small tree bearing golden fruit standing above the himalayan blackberry. a little bit of the river can be seen low and behind the tree. just at the start of the skyline on the left there is a large flock of birds flying. the sky is mostly cloudy with bits of blue here and there.

help me ID a jumping spider? i encounter these elusive fellas occasionally on my property in the woods in the pnw. due to localization, i am inclined to think it is johnsoni, but its markings make me think carneus- except for its lack of white marking along its head. which is it? x.x
a jumping spider with a black body and mostly red abdomen with black and white markings resting on a silver tarpa jumping spider with a black body and mostly red abdomen with black and white markings resting on a silver tarpa screenshot of the iNaturalist app suggesting the spider is Phiddipus johnsi with a small summary from the wiki "Phidippus johnsoni, the red-backed jumping spider, is one of the largest and most commonly encountered jumping spiders of western North America. It is not to be confused with the unrelated and highly venomous redback spider (Latrodectus hasselti)"
the map shows its natural habitat ranges along the west coast, namely the pacific northwest a screenshot of the iNaturalist app suggesting Phiddipus carneus, there is no summary.

the native range for this spider seems to mostly be around the southwestern united states and northern mexico region

seen this going around~ i know this was meant for funsies but i couldnt help but realize how many of these i experienced as a child and even still nonconsensually as an adult :/
post from paingoes:
dehumanization tropes i love

-not allowed on furniture. remain standing or kneel on the floor, no sitting

-not allowed to make eye contact

-being silenced immediately every time they try to speak

-casual manhandling, being dragged alone because they're not trusted to move by themselves

-casual, nonconsensual touch. randomly pulling them closer, absently playing with hair, manually adjusting their posture

-giving orders without explanation

-giving orders they know are arbitrary, just to exercise power

-talking about them like they aren't even in the room

-authorizing other people to monitor and control them

-being kept in restraints 24/7, with movement restricted even further in their downtime

charlene's hopefully going to be a mother. her abdomen is visibly much smaller than it used to be, and the egg sac is almost bigger than her legs could spread around anastasia, (the other yellow garden spider that rested on the opposite raised bed as this one) was nowhere to be seen

today i got to see a male orb weaver try to mate with a female :o he was plucking on some strings of the outskirts of her web with his lil feet to coax her close, but when she got close she lunged at him so he fled via hanging thread. hubby tried to record but only got this blurry pic instead

HAHAHAHA ohhh REALLY, ya don't say? whistle lowers get OSTRACISED??? (again, sarcasm.)
another screenshot from the wikipedia article about ostracism
"Research suggests that ostracism is a common retaliatory strategy used by organizations in response to whistleblowing. Kipling Williams, in a survey on US whistleblowers, found that all respondents reported post-whistleblowing ostracism. Alexander Brown similarly found that post-whistleblowing ostracism is a common response, and indeed describes ostracism as a form of "covert" reprisal, as it is normally so difficult to identify and investigate."

Will of Trees @willoftrees.bsky.social · 08/09/2025
oh gee wow that's super fucking interesting who knew /sarcasm
a screenshot from the Wikipedia article about osteracism
"Ostracism in the context of computer networks (such as the Internet) is termed "cyberostracism". In email communication, in particular, it is relatively easy to engage in silent treatment, in the form of "unanswered emails" or "ignored emails". Being ostracised on social media is seen to be threatening to the fundamental human needs of belonging, self-esteem, control and meaningful existence. Cyber-rejection (receiving "dislikes") caused more threat to the need of belonging and self-esteem, and lead to social withdrawal. Cyber-ostracism (being ignored or receiving fewer "likes") conversely lead to more prosocial behavior. Ostracism is thought to be associated with social media disorder.
