Pénétrable BBL Jaune, Jesús Rafael Soto, 1999 (2023 edition), as installed in London 2026. I encountered this installation on my way to see this year’s Serpentine Pavilion, and I personally found it more architecturally interesting.

Victoria & Albert Museum extension, AL_A (Amanda Levete), London, 2017. Bizarre to me that this was completed in 2017, when this pseudo-futuristic style of architecture had well and truly run its course. Awkward spaces inside and out. Visually awkward to the exterior too.

Is that median house price as a percentage of median income on y axis? Rents track income pretty closely, so the back of the envelope calculation I like to do is to apply wage inflation to house prices in 2000, to see what they ‘should’ be in 2025, without the private debt-fueled asset bubble.
