Three-quarters of the LGBT Gen Z adults we surveyed said a candidate who shares their values would make them most likely to vote for that candidate. Far fewer chose a candidate who shares their identity or demographic background (17%). Read the full report: tinyurl.com/LGBT-GenZ

323,700 trans citizens who live in states with in-person voter ID laws could have trouble voting due to a lack of IDs that correctly reflect their name or gender. 113,700 of them live in states where a photo ID is required to vote & few or no alternatives are available. tinyurl.com/Voter-ID-Trans

For 25 years, we've proudly advocated for federal SOGI data to ensure LGBTQ people are counted, represented, and reflected in laws and policies. As a result of actions by the Trump administration, more than 360 federal data collections have removed SOGI questions since January 2025.

Many respondents in our survey of transgender people in Memphis, Tennessee, reported that gender identity was a central factor in their interactions with law enforcement. Several said that police assumed they were sex workers based solely on appearance.
