Not wanting to manually model threads for the thousandth time for this one stupid little clamp bracket lead to several four hours that maybe saves me 45 minutes over the next year. This is good and logical.
Cross-section view of an L-shaped 3D CAD part. The cut faces are shown with pink hatching, revealing internal geometry. At the top is a horizontal section containing two angled, sawtooth-profile internal features on opposing sides of a central vertical cylindrical bore. The part transitions downward into a vertical leg that ends in a horizontal base. The underside of the base shows a diamond-patterned surface. The exterior faces are solid gray with rounded and filleted edges.

I just realized I never posted anything about the results of my misadventures in nougat. Some of you got them in the mail this year, and I hope you enjoyed them because it was all very stupid. Cookie > Caramel > Nougat. #baking

I just realized that at some point MakerWorld started supporting parametric customization for Fusion360 models, which eliminates my only bottleneck in the OpenPegboard project. It's time to pound sand, Skadis! #3Dprinting

3D printing can result in a lot of useless crap. Show me your favorite prints that have proven to not be useless crap! I’ll go first. I designed this scoop to make it easier to get ice into my hydroflask. I’ve used it every day for years and it lives in my freezer. #3Dprinting
A black, 3D-printed scoop held in a hand, featuring visible horizontal layer lines and a custom, slightly tapered shape. The interior of the scoop is coated with white, granular ice residue.
the black 3D-printed scoop is shown in action. A hand holds the handle, tilting the scoop downward to pour a batch of crescent-shaped ice cubes into a stainless steel water bottle. The scoop’s tapered, funnel-like front design is positioned over the bottle's opening, effectively guiding the ice inside without spilling.

I’ve had this printer for like 6 years and while I only print a modest amount, I don’t think I’ve ever had to refill the ink. Plus it never seems to dry out or need serious maintenance. $400 at the time seemed like a lot to spend on a printer, but I get it now. Cheap printers are a scam.

I’ve tried to keep my language PG on the internet, but I need to revise this. Nougat can seriously get completely and totally fucked. 😓 #baking

I was asked to make Christmas themed versions of the tissue boxes. At least they're cute. People keep messaging me and asking if they can sell them. I have mixed feelings about that. #3Dprinting makerworld.com/en/models/21...

I made this Christmas tree model yesterday, and finally used the lamp kit that came with one of my printers at some point. It’s a little fragile and i want to tweak it before publishing it, but the fusion360 file is an absolute mess. #3Dprinting

Hare brained idea to make my new microfiber cloth dispenser design quickly and cheaply skin-able without reprinting the whole main 150g unit worked perfectly. Gives me ideas for v2 of my tissue box design, too. #3Dprinting

I was trying re-use the pendant from the smaller camera. I have some bigger stronger magnets that I think would work, but they'd add almost 10mm to the thickness. It's not really an "action camera" set up, so I'm going to try with the path of least resistance and just experiment with a lanyard.
020
William @williampetruzzo.com · 02/10/2025
So the actual goal was to use magnets so that the pendant could be used under a shirt, and the camera attached over the shirt. Works great with the tiny camera, but the 360 camera is just too heavy. So, either would need to design a custom pendant and or try another approach.

I have a client who needed a way to define their geographic service zones based on zip code boundaries, so I came up with an app that would do the calculations and define the zones automatically based on distance ranges. Works really well. Exports to JSON. Saved them like $200/year. 🎉 #webdev

It’s basically peanut butter, or just peanuts, in powder form, with almost all the fat removed. Then you can turn it back into something peanut butter-like by adding moisture. Water, oil, yogurt, milk, whatever you want.

I’m embracing chaos #gardening this year. After my seedlings became pathetic and joyless failures, I decided to just throw them wherever. Randomly behind the shed. In a pot that’s not big enough. Amongst some shrubs. Whatever. They can keep the volunteer pumpkin in my front flower bed company.
