Hanging.
“The national security minister, Itamar Ben-Gvir, one of the bill’s strongest backers, has repeatedly worn a noose-shaped lapel pin, symbolising executions under the proposal. He described hanging as “one of the options” alongside the electric chair or “euthanasia”, claiming some doctors had offered to assist.

A security committee made some amendments to the bill, which last week passed its first vote. Israel’s public broadcaster KAN reported that executions would be carried out by hanging.”

Additional context: A former president who shaped the current deportation machine and signed IIRAIRA, and another former president who first employed Trump's White House Border Czar and emboldened ICE, deporting more than every president before him combined, are telling you to “stand up” to ICE.

From Preston's ‘Aliens and Dissenters’: “The Department of Commerce and Labor and the local inspectors operated almost without check and largely without public notice...The aliens rounded up had failed to make the protests that might have advertised the procedure and forced its reconsideration.”
Screenshot of text from Aliens and Dissenters by William Preston, Jr.:

"...a Secretary and Treasurer.' And for various reasons there were very few anarchist cases that might possibly have called into play a vigorous defense by these semiorganized radicals. Thus, the Department of Commerce and Labor and the local inspectors operated almost without check and largely without public notice in the development of the distasteful methods that caused such an outcry after the war. The aliens rounded up had failed to make the protests that might have advertised the procedure and forced its reconsideration by the government."

Mamdani apologizing to NYPD and distancing himself from defunding the police shows why electoral politics risk burning people out. So much labor, emotional investment, and sacrifice go into politicians who deliver business as usual when the time comes.

Here's Rudolf Rocker on how lesser evilism helped pave the way for Hitler. Keep in mind, this is from 1937. He follows this saying, “Democratic countries have learned nothing from this example and are now traveling with fatalistic submissiveness along the same path.”
Screenshot of text that says: "Here is being repeated on a large scale the situation which helped Hitler to his victory in Germany. In their efforts to put a check on the 'greater evil' by means of a lesser one the republican parties in Germany kept restricting constitutional rights and privileges more and more until at last there was hardly anything left of the so-called 'constitutional' state. In fact, Bruening’s government, which enjoyed the full support of the Social Democratic party, governed at last entirely by decree, having eliminated the legislative bodies. Thus, the antagonism between democracy and fascism gradually faded away until at last Hitler emerged as the joyful heir of the German Republic."

“Biden’s push is already ‘the greatest level of procurement activity we’ve seen with Ice in over a decade.’” (link: www.theguardian.com/us-news/2024...)
Screenshot of article text with quote highlighted:

Private prison contracts are negotiated by the number of “beds” in a facility. Documents reviewed by the Guardian show that Ice is in talks to add bed space in many locations, including in New Jersey, the midwest and several west coast cities that would add capacity to detain a total of at least 4,850 more people, amid plans to create new facilities or expand existing ones. That’s in addition to the almost 39,000 people currently held in federal immigration custody.

Biden’s push is already “the greatest level of procurement activity we’ve seen with Ice in over a decade, demonstrating the continued need for additional detention solutions in various locations throughout the US”, Damon Hininger, the president and CEO of private contractor CoreCivic, said during a post-election call with investors.

CoreCivic and GEO Group, the two biggest private prison contractors, reckon that the incoming Trump administration will be a further boon for their businesses and they are ready to assist the Republican president-elect’s mission to deport millions. People will probably be detained for a period between being arrested and expelled, as legal and logistical processes play out.

This part of the nonsense is key: “‘Eating it at a press conference can also become a part of the artwork’s history,’ he said...Sun compared conceptual art such as Comedian to NFT (non-fungible token) art and decentralised blockchain technology.” (link: www.theguardian.com/world/2024/n...)

The debut of the edible creation at the 2019 Art Basel show in Miami Beach sparked controversy and raised questions about whether it should be considered art – Cattelan’s stated aim.

On Friday, Sun compared conceptual art such as Comedian to NFT (non-fungible token) art and decentralised blockchain technology. “Most of its objects and ideas exist as (intellectual property) and on the internet, as opposed to something physical,” he said.

Sun also this week disclosed a $30m investment in World Liberty Financial, a cryptocurrency project backed by the US president-elect, Donald Trump."

Here's what the Pilgrims at Plymouth were “thankful” about. They were grateful for plague and plunder. Dead bodies, those lost to disease, and those they killed became useful in devious ways. (link: logicmag.io/issue-21-med...)
A screenshot of excerpted text "Pilgrims. (highlighted) Omitted from the popular Thanksgiving myths (/highlighted) is that early settlers lost so many of their own people during their first winter that they practiced night burials and disguised their dead to hide their decreasing numbers.1 The Pilgrims’ relationship with dead bodies was partly one of utility already, as they desecrated Native homes and graves, and occupied places they had found strewn with those who had succumbed to disease. William Bradford, leader and eventual governor of Plymouth, noted the Native mortality, observing: “Not being able to bury one another, their skulls and bones were found in many places lying still above the ground where their houses and dwellings had been.” The settlers wanted more for their own dead.

These initial encounters with mass death framed how the European settlers related to the demise of the other, who they viewed as their adversaries. Pilgrim death was considered tragedy, while Native death was predestined dispossession, fated disappearance, and necessary waste. Bradford described the sight of..."

White graphic from IG with red enclosing lines around text that reads: “It has become customary to ask those who fight injustice: What good does it do? And if their actions do not immediately change the world in ways we can quantify, they are admonished as being foolish, or critiqued for trying something that did not work or made no visible impact. This is the normalization of utilitarian theory as life, where maximal impact is measured by those removed from action.” via decolonialhacker
