Why hasn't President Trump freed Andrew & Tristan Tate? Because the manosphere's "Top G" no longer holds that title. And he's accused of child porn, raising the specter of the #EpsteinFiles for Trump. My latest analysis video for @usatoday.com's Extremely Normal: www.youtube.com/watch?v=FyOJ...

"Tate, who calls himself the “Top G,” no longer holds a position atop the manosphere as he once did. Secondly, the Tates are charged with possession of child pornography, an accusation that raises the specter of the Epstein Files"

Will Carless, USA TODAY @willcarless.bsky.social · 14/08/2026
There are two main reasons observers say Trump hasn't intervened in the Andrew & Tristan Tate case: 1. Tate is accused of child porn, and this would remind people about the Epstein files; 2. Tate is no longer "Top G" in the manosphere, so backing him has little political gain.

President Trump could free Andrew and Tristan Tate but he hasn't. Why not? Because they're increasingly irrelevant and accused of child pornography.

It’s wild how many people are in my mentions saying things like “All thanks to the SPLC” — like that’s something witty or clever. The SPLC paid informants to infiltrate groups like this, sure. To suggest those few people account for most extremists is just ignorant and smacks of denialism.
