I witnessed five Master Calendar Hearings today. All but one of the cases was denied and orders for removal were entered (one case was an entire family). Two cases agreed to voluntary departure. NONE of them had representation. Their chances would have been better with someone at their side.

The man ICE shot in Austin today is named Wilber Rafael Garces Perez. Per his lawyer, she and Perez’s family were run off of hospital property where he’s being treated and won’t even confirm he’s there because he’s “in ICE custody.” Actual criminals.

So, Derrick was a huge Bears fan. I'm a Vikings fan. They play each other today. Last week, after the Bears dropped 59 on Carolina, he said, "Pete, I know the Bears aren't scoring 59 points on that Vikings D............they're scoring 70! AHAHAHA!!!" Gonna miss you, man.
