Tawny frogmouth & chick. The local council has been clearing willows from the rivulet, but has left this one which has a tawny frogmouth nest. Frogmouths are usually hard to see, but the chick hasn't quite worked out the 'being still' bit. #Hobart #Tasmania #BirdPhotography #AustralianBirds #Birds

Kurdish asylum seeker Mostafa Azimitabar was in mandatory detention on Manus Island between 2013 and 2021. While in detention, he began painting using toothbrushes and coffee. He used a toothbrush to paint this Archibald prize portrait of Midnight Oils musician Jim Moginie. #art #auspol
