This report makes the Labour Government's back-peddling on the scale of investment in the energy transition all the more disappointing and the decision of BP to cave into shareholder pressure all the more exasperating. #energytransition #fossilfreefuture #climateemergency

Ho Ho Hum is a new song from @loudhailer.bsky.social & her compañeros in Temp Band Name (whose resemblance to the Red Guitars is uncanny) written for all the world's many refugees and in aid of @breakingbarriers.bsky.social & the Refugee Council. redguitars677430001.wordpress.com/tag/ho-ho-hum/

Still stoked after the first Wild Hare Club show of the year. Great sets by The Breaks, an inter-generational musical collective and Jeb Loy Nichols and Clovis Phillips who played a sublime acoustic set. Over 20 years, the WHC has become a very special community and the vibe is very special indeed.
The Breaks - a 10 piece inter-generational band complete with two vocalists and a horn section whipping up a storm @ The Globe in Hay on Wye at last Saturday's Wild Hare Club show

It's time to talk about Dylan...again. Here's a few thoughts of mine to add to the heap, having seen A Complete Unknown, played Blood on the Tracks for the zillionth time to mark its 50th anniversary. #bobdylan #acompleteunknown #bloodonthetracks #wildhareclub www.wildhareclub.com/blog/24-2025...

Heading off to Cambridge for the Citizen Zoo organised Rewilding Conference. While primarily concerned with marine conservation for the last 30 years, I am interested in how rewilding is being taken up around the UK & how we can achieve 30x30 & a sustainable future for both wildlife and people.

Abysmal news for the River Wye—already close to ecological death from intensive poultry production—& other catchments. Labour came to power promising to heal Britain’s river network; today the Env Sec singles out chicken producers & promises laxer regulation. www.theguardian.com/environment/...

Stopped using X a long time back and have just arrived here as seemingly a much better and more ethical alternative. Yours optimistically, Richard
