NEW PUBLICATION: A review of 1,585 articles found just 6 empirically assessed fuel break effectiveness at the regime scale. Fuel breaks can aid suppression, but performance drops sharply in extreme weather. More research is needed. 🔥 globalwildfirecollective.org/fuel-breaks-...
