#BREAKING: Wilderness Society is taking the Forest Practices Authority & Forestry Tasmania to court to challenge plans to log swift parrot habitat. These native forests in the Huon Valley are some of the last places critically endangered swift parrots breed. 🦜 wilderness.org.au/tas-court-case-2026
Image says BREAKING NEWS in red and white text at the top, followed by big heading "We're going to court to challenge logging plans in critical swift parrot habitat in Lutruwita / Tasmania". Image shows three people standing looking serious in a forest, leaning against a very large old tree and ferns in the background. Wilderness Society logo is in the bottom right hand corner.

Did you know the kurina/Tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle's (Palawa) wingspan is >2m, making it one of the largest eagles alive? 🦅 Sadly, it is a #ThreatenedSpecies. Less than 1000 birds remain. Protecting its forest homes from human activities like logging is critical to protecting the species. #wildoz
A large dark brown and light brown feathered tasmanian wedge-tailed eagle sits perched in a tree, surveying the environment around it. A blurred background of tree leaves is behind the eagle, which has a grey curved beak and vibrant brown eyes looking to the right.

Australia’s largest pallet producer, Brambles, is stepping away from sourcing timber from native #forests. It is only because of people speaking up that companies feel the pressure to protect forests instead of destroying them. Thank you to all that made this possible 💚 #climateaction
Image shows large text in green and white: "Native forests are a little safer thanks to you", then below on a ripped out piece of paper: "Australia's largest pallet producer will source 100% plantation wood by the end of 2028." There is a picture of a pallet next to this text, and an image of green lush forests in the background. Wilderness Society logo is in the top right hand corner.
