iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

My ocs are all for my books, but I tend to ignore the book storyline a lot when drawing them. Partly because I want to avoid spoiling things and partly because I crave the sweet and cosy scenes that can never happen ✨ #ocsky

My favourite darlings Zarando and Taeri now have a chibi form 💜 #digitalart #chibi #originalcharacter #ocdrawing #artsky

Zarando (oc with long ginger hair in braids and grey eyes) looks adoringly at Taeri (oc with short brown hair and freckles). They are holding hands.

Miro and their Sylix v3! So far I've been redrawing this every seven months, let's see if the pattern continues ✨ #ocdrawing #digitalart

Miro (original character, enby with green eyes, freckles, and short brown hair that has a white streak) looks at a purple lizard that is sitting on their shoulder. The purple lizard looks back up at Miro. It has flowers around its head, and is wearing an upside-down bellflower on its head.

Another Character drawing for Art Fight! Profile: artfight.net/~Melancholiea [ #artfight | #melancholieart | #OCSky ]

A young white woman holding up both of her hands in a kind of magical pose. SheÄs wearing a black dress, with some metal detailing at the hips. Around her neck is a crystal neckles, the stone is pitch black.

It's Taeri! The happiest mayhem causer of the gang, and the best artist #originalcharacter #fantasyart #bookoc

Taeri, a man with short brown hair, stands with his arms spread. He is laughing. He's wearing a lavender overshirt, a blue skirt and brown boots. Behind him sew trees and mountains. The sun is golden.

A close up of Taeri's smiling face. Some of his freckles are star-, moon-, or heart-shaped. He wears earrings, and has a piercing above his eyebrow. Around his neck hangs a crown necklace.

For what it's worth, if I were to be paired with you on a project I'd be starstruck because I think your art is really cool! But I do get the feeling, social media can be a rough place

Wietske @wietskewrites.bsky.social · 22/04/2026

I had a brief period where I'd use rulers and guides for everything and it made it all look so fake, I stopped so fast 😭😭 I might not be able to draw a straight line but that's a feature

Everyone look at my darling Arphica. I wasn't aware of how precious she was, but here she is! (Also, she's on artfight! artfight.net/character/78...) [ #digitalart #drawing #fantasyart #ocart ]

Arphica, a brown woman with white hair and golden eyes looks over her shoulder. She wears her hair in braids, with ribbons and rings interwoven in them. She also wears a crown pin. She has a scar on her nose, and has a nose piercing.

Arphica, a woman with white hair, walks towards the camera. She is wearing a blue tunic with golden trims, and flowy purple pants. Around her waist, she wears a belt with a small pouch. She wears golden jewellery. Behind her is a view of hills specked with trees, with the back hills completely covered by a forest.

Love how with my first book I knew the exact date to celebrate its one year anniversary, and with my second I completely missed it ~ Anyway! Congrats to me for publishing The Banished God about a year ago!

Super proud of this one! General Wythari (left) and Queros (aka the stray she picked up off the streets at some point) (right) walking down the streets of Bavinko together. Besties #ocsky #digitalart #fantasybook

Wythari (left), a woman with lavender hair, a matching skirt, a crown, and a wooden right hand, walks next to Queros (right), a man with dark hair and a beard. They look happy/content. It is evening and it has just rained; the lights of the buildings reflect on the glossy street. The vibe of the buildings is Japanese. A black cat wanders next to the duo.

A close up of Wythari (left) and Queros (right). Wythari's crown matches the collar necklace she's wearing. Her belt buckle is shaped like a flower, and her wooden hand is slightly chipped. Queros looks back at Wythari, who is laughing and gesturing with her hands. In the background, someone holding an umbrella is visible.

Queros when Zarando proposes his tenth stupid plan of the week (it's Monday) #drawing #digitalart #ocart #fantasybook

Queros (oc), a man with long black hair and a beard, stands with his hands on his hips. He looks exasperated. His cape flows in the wind. Behind him is greenery.

A close up of Queros (oc), a man with black hair and a beard. His expression shows that he is very done.

See, this is what I mean when I say I love editing! Taking one sentence and figuring out how to reword it to make it happen instead of just describing it 💜 And then there's the opposite where you have the ramblings of a lunatic and you go ha. We don't need that. Delete. #WIPsnips #editing

"One.
Miro leaned closer to the pot, spoon with crushed mindberry flowers trembling in their hand. Their eyes teared up slightly as the fumes hit their face, but they didn’t dare blink lest they miss it.
Two.
Their spoon hovered above the pot. Miro held their breath — there it was, near the edge, a bubble steadily swelling until —
Three.
Miro plunged the spoon into the pot and stirred counterclockwise until light pink swirls appeared in the otherwise yellow substance."
