My LolCat patiently waiting for dinner. ##Caturday #CatsOfMastodon ##Cats

My mostly gray cat is shown lying on her left side, with her white tummy exposed. Her front paws are together but bent at the wrist. Her rear legs are stretched out behind her. She is looking off into the distance. Her body lies along the interface between the kitchen tiles and living room carpet.

Even with the shortest day, there is still some sun to nap in, even if it moves quickly across the room.

Our gray and white cat is napping center left of the photo. The top of her head is in a long narrow beam of light from a window. That beam was moving fairly quickly across the floor, so she had to get up regularly to stay in the beam. In the foreground are my kitchen tiles, and the cat is lying on the tan carpet of the living room.

One of my favourite animal portraits for #PhotoMonday. Headshot of a Harpy Eagle.

A very close up head shot of a gray Harpy Eagle. The dark eyes, beak and surrounding feathers are in focus, while the feathers further back are less so. The eagle seems to be intently focused on something just to the left of the photographer. The feathers on the back of the head are slightly raised, possibly due to a tail wind.
