Couple of sketches at work today, another Neon Oddessy idea, and playing around with Goblin designs. Once I get the Cintiq back up, Will see what I can do with some of these sketches I've been doing. #Art #TTRPG #D&D #Nerdlings

A sketch of an Elf blooded species, a priestess of the Ministry of Light and Shadow, Rebecca Thorn. Potential idea for Neon Oddessy style campaign.

Silly sketch of a Red Sonya style Goblin, Red Gobyrn, the proportions are all wrong she's going to be way too tall, but this was more about head design ideas.

However it is very interesting which hate groups suddenly had a huge drop off of posting... lots of ones that would hugely benefit Russia if those groups got their way. Imagine that. ☕

Just a note on the phones, I knew this 100% a few years ago, work colleague at my previous job was Sri Lankan, lovely guy would talk to me about cricket, I have 0 interest in it but happy to chat. Guess what started appearing on my phone after, & not just standard cricket, specific to Sri Lanka.

Was watching legends of Avantris a few days ago and they put up an ad for Crooked Moon. I found them after CM, so went down the rabbit hole and found a store in the UK selling a boxed set, so now have a copy of the RPG. Looking forward to reading this one. #CrookedMoon #D&D #TTRPG #Nerdlings

Added a couple of posters to the hobby room, two of my all time favourite fantasy films. So much to still sort, but the room is really taking shape. Just need to figure out where the PC printer is going to go. #Nerdlings

The wall of 40k army boxes now on the bookcases on the right side of the room.

I'd just discovered R.E.M, En Vogue and a couple of others at 18, but without doubt this band was top then and has remained in my overall top ten for my entire life.

Not sure if this is the silliest or one of the funniest doodles I have done in a while. Doodle for an idea behind our long running Goblin assassins joke in TTRPG games. Potential future plans for Neon Oddessy. #RPG #D&D #NeonOddessy

A quick sketch of a Goblin (Globrin) assassin for a Future D&D game. No name as yet, but a lady Goblin in an 80s theme aerobic costume in pink and purple with daggers. Text says Goblin Aerobic Alliance Assassin, nickname G-triple A

Also how can you challenge ideas, who you are, your identity if everything is the same warm and cosy cage you've always been used to.

060

Wicked Wych @wickedwych.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Okies, body is very glad there is nothing more to lift up or down the stairs. All bookcases are up, just need to sort it all now as some stuff just had to be thrown upstairs so we could move them. Still have things to rearrange downstairs but hobby room looking good. #Nerdlings

One of the three bookcases by the radiator (which is off and unlikely never need to go on as downstairs heaters will warm it up enough, up here in the winter)

The other two bookcases, it is a surprisingly small room (supposedly a third bedroom) but at least now we can make use of it.

060

Wicked Wych @wickedwych.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

Other side cleared, and now painted ready for three bookcases to come upstairs tomorrow, then I can finally sort all the boxes and set up the room for model painting and storage. It's a little warmer up here, but my PC will no longer be slowly dying from grease particles. 🫠 #Nerdlings

Corner of the room now pink, going to have two bookcases just past the heater on that wall.

The opposite corner to the heater by the door, going to put the third bookcase here alongside the door.

Wicked Wych @wickedwych.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Thank you, it's more we fell into the trap of second or third armies and a couple spares as six of us play. Although probably not enough to warrant those extra armies, so the goal is to sell around half, and have a few more smaller scale forces for Necromunda etc.

020

Wicked Wych @wickedwych.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Yep, this is why I am downsizing the 40k armies, even if I got lucky and get to 100, I'm not sure I have the time left to paint all this (and there is still another load downstairs)and it's not like I've stopped buying. 🫠 Just silly I let it get to this level. #Nerdlings

A pic of all the armies boxes for 40k and some other games. Just a stupid amount to try and paint considering my painting speed. Hazard a guess there are 50 tubs in this pic, another twenty downstairs and at least half this again on sprues, possibly the same amount which is terrifying.

Plastic crack is no joke. 🫠

A bit late, but I realised I never did one of these... so hard to pick just nine, but these all stand out as either faves of a particular note, or hit a strong reaction due the setting/era like Vice City. Halo Reach, Road Rash 3D0 and Skyrim missed this list by a whisker.

A pic of the 9 games that made me, my games chosen are Life is Strange, Mass Effect 2 (although the whole trilogy is a stand out) World of Warcraft (I started three weeks before TBC launched) Grand Theft Auto Vice City, Ishar 2 Messengers of Doom, Warsong, Silent Hill 2, Minecraft (specifically Xbox 360 version that got me started, but I still play on Bedrock now) and the Secret of Monkey Island.

Wicked Wych @wickedwych.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

Some great games here, as much as I adore it, still think Edith Finch broke me a little for a time, some of the game hit way too close to home, but it was beautifully done.

Starting to sort things, still need to bring up three more bookcases like the two in the pics for the otherside of the room, also some more yellow to paint over, but its taking shape. I think the full transition will take around two weeks... but then hopefully it will be sorted for years to come.

A picture of the new painting set up on the desk, still sorting paints.

A pic of the corner of the desk, display area for the figurines near the PC.

Slowly setting up displays and the like, a pic of my booster router, and figures around it, also the CCG cards I kept from old CCGs I no longer have.

A pic of Savage lands Rogue figure next to my PC and monitor. Also a very old badge. (Space Crusade)

Okies feeling worse for wear, but it had to be done, flipped my desk around and put cabinets behind it (will use the dead space under for terrain materials and old CDs) but yeah, so tired. 🫠 Got blackout UV stickers so the monitor being there isn't an issue. Just needs sorting. #Hobby #Nerdlings

A picture of the new room, desk now flipped the other way. Just will work better overall. Oh and in case anyone was pondering, that's Paralives on my PC.

Watched AEW Dynamite earlier (UK ITV) and yeah, that was very hard to watch. Watching them clearly devastated but putting on the best show they could was inspiring. It made me realise how much I loved his presence in the ring, and has really hit me hard this week. He really was Undeniable. RIP PAC

Took me ten hours, and not even close to done.. so much to sort, but my desk is upstairs. Spent nearly half an hour using earbuds to clean grease dust off my fan blades, but after starting my PC it runs silent again. 🙃🫠 At least another three days, but a huge step today. #Nerdlings

A pic of the desk now upstairs in the spare room, soon to be my PC area and hobby space. Just need to move around some cabinets

Wicked Wych @wickedwych.bsky.social · 02/10/2026

Yay, painting done, now for the 'fun' part, desk, PC, two cabinets and too many boxes to come up, with other bits going down, but not much room, so need to do a switcheroo all day. 😅 #HobbySpaces #Nerdlings

Wall repainted pink in the upstairs spare room, soon to be Hobby area. Far wall could have potentially used a third coat, but the desk and posters will cover those sins and I have left the rest of the house in turmoil long enough.

Still not gotten over the fact the English Language VA voices both these characters. To be fair it shows how good a VA she is, but normally I pick up a hint of an actors tone across their characters, but with these two, nothing. 😅 Also two of my faves. 😊 #GenshinImpact #ZenlessZoneZero #ZZZ

Still here, but busy. I decided to take advantage of an emptying room, and actually paint it in the colours I want. So the big hobby switcheroo has dragged into a third week, hopefully done by next weekend. It does mean I've shelved my Sep Nerdlings Comp entry, but will eventually continue it.

I am in the process of switching the small (3rd bedroom honest guv) spare room from a laundry room to my hobby room, partially to get PC out of the Kitchen and upstairs. Will provide updates but going to be posting even less than normal for the next week. Wish me luck. 🫠 #Nerdlings #Hobby

Possible one of the last shots of my hobby corner as is... it won't look a million miles from this, but I will miss the window. All of what you see in this pic will be making its way upstairs, while the dryer and other bits are coming down.. its going to be .. fun.

Pic shows a large desk, gaming PC, painting racks and bookshelves with models.

A pic of where I am going, the that old drawer unit is around halfway across the room, and yes this is considered a third bedroom... I mean, I wouldn't trade the town we are in right now, but this is a shockingly small room, can barely fit a single bed in here.

Pic shows an old table, a collection of full comic boxes, and various bags and other bits. (Before I started this morning stuff was pilled all the way up that wall behind the table)
