Finished the Fists path for Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. Some puzzles were easier than others. Once you've find out how to make beads it's a matter of trial and error. #msdos

I made a start with Death Stranding (2019) and I haven't played many games from that year except for Control. It's an interesting game I only have questions so far...

I couldn't figure out the puzzle with the stone discs in Indiana Jones and the Fate ot Atlantis... It turned out I had to rotate my solution 90° clockwise. All this time I thought I had to line all the symbols up to the top or bottom.🫤

Indiana Jones discovers the dead body of professor Sterhart in a cave. He's standing on a sort of elevator and behind him is a waterfall.

Indiana and Sophia are at a Greek dock and want to travel to Atlantis with the captain of the fisher boat.

I was playing The Longest Journey again and I was told this very long story by Tobias about unknown worlds, magic and fantasy. It's very weird and complicated...

I'm playing Kirby's Epic Yarn (2010) on the Wii. It's an easy game, but it's a lot of fun. Especially the boss fights. Unwinding the yarn on this octopus.

Kirby has changed in to a spinning top and is unraveling the head of the octopus.

Here's another comparison of Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis. CRT (LEFT) & TFT (RIGHT.) The screen on the right just looks too bright. The only thing that isn't working is the General MIDI music on the real hardware. I'm using SoftMPU and that works great with other games on this Pentium II.

I'm re-playing Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (1992.) I want to show a comparison of the game on real DOS hardware with CRT monitor (LEFT) and a DOSBox installation on a TFT flat screen (RIGHT.) I like the CRT look the most. It creates these natural dark contrasts.

I'm not going to spoil the great ending of Cave Story, although it's 22 years old. Just the final screenshot. It was a pretty tough cookie. The fact that you have to do a whole difficult platform section followed by two giant boss fight without saving anywhere in between is quite intense.

After beating the last (normal) boss it's time for the final caves. You can get a counter earlier in the game to time your best run. It looks like Celeste got part of it's gameplay from this game.

You get a text message saying "This item is a tribute to your determination. Glory to all zealous challengers!"
In this room is the symbol of a clock.

You're jumping through a cave system with deadly red spikes. The only way to get through is using a booster v2.0.

Phoef! Finished Cave Story with the great ending (2004) on my Pentium III PC. To do this I had to save Curly my robot friend.

You're in a room with some bookshelves, a computer and a bed.
In the bed lies Curly the robot.

You're in a sort of pit with a guy in a green costume and Curly in a bed saying she doesn't know you.

You're jumping in a dark cave with red spikes and lava pits.
In the room above yours is a red demon.

You've just destroyed the undead core of the island (final boss.)
On the ground with you is Sue in a sort of white rabbit suit.

I won the Veteran tournament in Rock n' Roll Racing (SNES, 1993.) A fun shooter/race game. I used the strategy of using most of my money for vehicle upgrades, so no weapon or nitro upgrades. Last challenge: The Warrior tournament...

The final fight in episode 5 of Blood is against two Cerberuses. Episode 5 was good, it took me a while here and there to find small buttons and alcoves to progress. #DOS

Played Episode 5 Cryptic Passage. I already finished Episode 6 by accident. This episode has some fun environments. I'm playing this with the BloodGDX source port.

I played the DOS game Bargon Attack (1992) yesterday. From the start you have to go pixel hunting to be able to continue. The game has nice graphic sceneries. In the end there are some puzzles with no logic at all. #DOS

A garage full of tires, wrenches and oil cans. In the middle sits a broken red car. A staircase in the back leads to an upstairs room.

A green room full with statues. In the middle stands a tall statue holding two sticks. In front of the room are 4 pillars.

The players stands in a pool that's being filled by two green lions with wings. Some steps lead to another green statue in the middle.

The main character of the game is seen from above looking up in the sky. He wears a purple hat, glasses, a black jacket and purple pants.

After finishing Cave Story (2004) I read a walkthough and there is a better ending. It is possible to save Curly (female robot that I didn't save), but for this I have to do a complete new run which is longer and harder. I'm going to try that one next...

Oof, finished Cave Story, but it was difficult at the end. You have to do 4 boss battles in a row without being able to save or restore health (ok, 1 restore health item from your inventory.)

First final boss, Misery. Mysery is floating above the throne. Left and right of the throne are small pillars. In the background you can see a faded sun.

Second final boss, The Doctor. The doctor fires red spiraling beams at you.
In the background there are cages everywhere with captured Mimiga's.
A faded sun can be seen in the background.

Third boss, Muscle Doctor.
When the doctor is defeated he turns into Muscle Doctor. He dashes towards you and can unleash an army of red bats.
The doctor is now a lot stronger and has a more red colour taint.

Fourth final boss, the Undead Core.
The core is a huge creature. Underneath its skin is a red skull monster. This fight takes place inside a cave with broken pillars.

The first boss I had a hard time with in Cave Story is the huge robot on rails.

The large robot machine in the background is waiting inactively.
It has 4 tracks for movement. 2 at the top and 2 at the bottom.

When the robot machine is defeated it explodes with a big white flash.

The older version of Cave Story has a different font and since I play it on a real CRT the screen size is not wide screen.

Finally finished Yoshi's Island. The final fight was a small puzzle, but I found the right timing for firing the eggs eventually.

Baby Mario and Yoshi are facing baby Bowser. The background is made up out of children drawings.

Baby Bowser has turned into a giant Bowser. You can see his silouette in the back. He's screaming furiously at baby Mario and Yoshi.

Found some time to play Super Mario World - Yoshi's Island again. In World 6-4 you have to beat this giant egg to get a key. I still like the game and it's getting harder.

Yoshi and baby Mario are facing a giant jumping egg with a small pair of eyes.

The giant egg has vanished and falls apart in smaller green eggs.
