Mine was more the line of being gifted the watercolor paper blank calendar. But then kiddo always wanting to art if I art...but it ends with just her arting 🤷‍♀️ Maybe when she's in school I'll try again.

I noted in the art of the year recap that all of my art was actually kinda from last year or the year before. Wasn't the most brag about year. I planned to do a mini painting every month on a watercolor calendar and did half of January 🫠

Its a bit sparkling in person from the mineral watercolor but the background is raised acrylic with matte medium and gouache. I started it last year 🤪 I'll show you the bg ideas sometime. I stopped while trying to decide the best one.

Someday I will finish this. I keep missing spooking season. Land of WIP with kiddo life. I'm starting to not like it as much so I should just finish the pollen plant background and tuck it into the done box before too long.

Watercolor and mixed paint illustration of a flying big ear bat with flowering plants behind. Not finished.

I did fan art of this cover while in middle school, probably 95-97 for my book report poster project. So nostalgic. I love seeing the process.

Went to the Children's Festival today for the first time. It's a really fun one day Renaissance Faire for children held annually in in our town. Lots of crafts. Bit young for the fencing lessons, miniature painting, and dnd booth. But maybe another year fufufu...

A little girl looking up wearing moth wings and a blue smock. She is in a wood castle maze covered in bright brushstrokes made by tons of kids painting the whole castle. She is holding a cup filled with kids paint in a reddish coral with a painter's brush in it.

A little girl kneeling and painting. She is wearing a rainbow tiedye sunhat and moth wings. She is in a wood castle maze covered in bright brushstrokes made by tons of kids painting the whole castle. She is holding a brush against a wall painting green.

A picture taken from up on a high rock ledge overlooking the children's fair. A tall lady (me) is standing with another family nearby and she is waving. She's in a blue balloon sleeve blouse covered in moths and butterflies. She has a purple long skirt with a hipbag, belts and tall boots. A little girl beside her is in moth wings with unicorn facepaint. Looking at her friend in fairywings and glitter rainbow rainboots.

A man (husband lol) crouched on a mossy rock in the trees looking out at the faire. Our friend's son is sitting up there with a hat on holding a pencil to his face paused from writing in his dnd journal.

Wow, both are nice, but the aged patina of the other one is very cozy! I left a plaid pendlton lap blanket in the miata. It ended up bleached from the window sun and its a wild different color past the rumple fold now.

In some driveby oh hi, yes I'm active still posting...my 3.5 year old just wrote a whole ass word out of nowhere by herself. She's been into sight reading a bit. Tracing letters...Writing letters here and there. Of course it was bunny. Rabbit obsessed mommy 🐇

The back of a receipt with a wobbly, slanted word crawled sideways. It says bunny but it was written by a 3.5 year old so its pretty wobbly but clear.

What size are you? There's at least one of this green Buffalo on poshmark that I've seen so far. I wear a lot of duluth so I've sleuth'd quite a few prints myself.

Two random times now out in the common woods I got a crazy invisible or light rash rash on my chest, neck and cheeks that stung like needles, very intensely, then just Fs off a few hours later like nothing happened. Its my not allergic to anything no posion oak mystery of my boring toddler life lol

Nice birthday today, my dad and partner came. Grammy played, read books while my dad yaked with my husband. I baked a cherry pie. Dad brought some homebrew n plums from friends. My gifts involved art, cooking, childhood stuff, embroidery my dad made. Picked berries, neighbor gave me farm flowers 🎂

Picture of long stem yellow sunflowers and flower varieties of large yellow and itty bitty clusters of purple from a local farm.

Then...now not napping toddler coming out of her playroom asking me what these are while clacking my ink bottles together... Grateful I fully closed the one I utilized 😬

Naptime inking session, flying risky with the nib instead of a fresh one...ink drop plop. Yesss...it landed on the eye of the rabbit. A perfect drop, natural art 20. Old art from the doom pile, not bothering to do a lot of correction since the paper unfortunately has marks and blemishes.

Two pieces of paper with a rabbit on each. The larger paper has a start of a ink and nib illustration with florals and text to say small but fierce.

My daughter requested a pirate, my new hobby is I guess Sylvanian Families / Calico Critters costumes 🤷‍♀️

A Sylvanian Calico Critter otter in a handmade pirate costume. The hat is burnt orange wool felt with found feathers. Jacket is the same felt lined with orange / burgandy paisley. The pants are deep red leather scrap and have a matching belt as the coat lining.

Greenery, mushrooms and moss are illustrated in this heart shaped mini painting. I wanted to make something valentines themed with display longevity. #art #artsky #traditional #artist #gouache

Gouache painting of greenery leaves in a heart shape wreath. Mushrooms on the inside and outside with a mossy forest scene inside. The paper is deckled, laying on matboard ontop a painted green and yellow canvas.

90s teens, online on icq. I searched for locals to my boarding school into final fantasy, anime, and electronic music. One sorta date in high school, college attempts at hookups that failed. Twas slow to openly mutual feels, but we finally just went straight to engaged. Married with a toddler now

Yup! Mixed with some gouache paint. The mushies have mineral paint with metallic gouache. They sparkle but I didn't capture it ✨

Lil woodland illustration inspired by wandering in the forest and meadows around the house with my toddler. Featuring treasures handed to me by said toddler and a silk dyed scarf. #art

It really would have been! I felt the brush fall, saw it do big feathered sploots of ink all the way down...but reacted like some hybrid of a mystic from dark crystal getting a cut and eeyore

After stubbornly inking in my not great hours (pre child to more-so now than before) I almost finished a fun re-ink...and then dropped the filler brush on the paper and it bounced down it like...welp Good thing it was just a scrappy thing!

Hi four months later, enjoy some art. Back to my mom cave. 😂🤪

Two small watercolor and gouache paintings. One is blueberries and the other is a mystery fruit. Pear, orange? Plum? I don't know because I started with pear but it looks orangey.

Doodles of dog for someone on scrap paper.

Just more tiny do something art, butterflies are a nice no think. It looks inked but it was I give up gouache lining to just be done instead of noodling aka slowly ruining it lol 🤣

I manage the smallest stuff right now. Totally basic, flowers n stuff...not trying too hard to be deep or make meaningful stuff. Whatever I can hustle before busy 😆

A micro watercolor, that fits in a pal. It's a bundle of orage and pink flowers with a yellow background. Used paint from one of my glass slabs of random paint

My daughter gets to use my tools more than me 🤣 I'm really impressed with the cotton paper. You can practically wash it and dry it like fabric a few times till it starts to felt. I bought it at an estate sale and it bleeds or sucks up paint till you figure out a sweet technique but its really fun.

My daughter has an extensive pumpkin patch on the porch. These two are inside in her play area. The little one had a rot spot so I quickly made a jackolantern with a kitchen knife and scooped it out. With of course a tantrum brewing but was remedied on speedy return.

Two mini pumpkins, one carved to be a Jackolantern because I found a rot spot.

I love seeing my spouse’s old art, and lyrics, but this page always resonates with me. It’s just a whole mood really.

I think I am losing my abilities. I can’t paint right now. I can’t write music. But I sure can complain about it. -Paul Hindt (My husband’s art journal from high school)

Perfume is a pretty neat twist one. Dumplings unsettles the most hardcore horror peeps I know. I believe it's banned. I have very little horror interests as I'm more a Lisztomania (1975) la planete sauvage (73) weird occasionally boring movie person.

Dumplings (2004) is a neat one. Perfume (2006) too. Naturally classics like Suspiria and Opera (dario)

I made mine from a vintage parasol stick, but it had broken off. It has a cool gnarled end so I kept it. Fished for some random scrap fabric and some twine. It's classy but made from trashy art scrap lol.

Sold a little mini painting illustration. Made it one morning where I got away with big seat sitting, and having supplies out...Honestly wasn't expecting to sell, and had it listed just because why not. I put it in my wood portfolio box...not where I keep stuff for sale. That was a goose chase 🤪

I keep wanting to do blfc but definitely feel shy about the gallery over FC which I normally staffed/had footing. I remember that year, your art I was 👀 I really wanted the desert hare I saw one year. I should just stay at the tahoe cabin and go for a short visit to see friends at least.
