Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 08/11/2025I don't agree with them at all. I think your protagonists are whole people, sometimes prickly, sometimes overwhelmed and kind, sometimes cunning and careful, but people. I never feel like your protagonists don't want, don't pursue, or don't feel. 020
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 01/07/2025Mostly in words (mostly my own voice). For someone who doesn't listen to much music, a lot of old songs running on repeat. Images supplement! they only take over if I'm falling asleep or very tired. 210
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 25/04/2025Hm hm. I suppose it depends on whether the absurdities of Oblivion made it special to you. For me, yes, it's nostalgia - these are games I played with my siblings. The ridiculous bits were jokes we shared (and still share). But also, Skyrim didn't supersede it for me! 000

Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 27/10/2023This has been a real fun late October for video game releases. World of Horror and Slay the Princess are both real swell and delightfully gross. (although with slay, come for the gross, stay for the Complex Feelings.) 010
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 23/10/2023Misericorde, a kinetic novel about a Murder Mystery Among Nuns, has a soundtrack which is totally a bop. Just so y'all know. 000
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 21/10/2023well, I hope you enjoy it! ten hours of Halloween vibes! 010
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 21/10/2023Finished The Quarry! Spooky interactive movie. Not nearly as scary as Until Dawn, but arguably stronger character writing, and hey, the black kid and the Asian kid had stuff to do. Some fun gay flirting and some elevated writing with the tarot go pretty much nowhere, but at least they're there. 111
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 20/10/2023I love it, I do, but it's a hard sell. You're actually rolling for each hit. Takes a while to manage common bandits. You have to click and drag things onto your paper doll to eat or equip or read anything in your inventory. I think it's at least a bit simulationist, but it's kinda work to play. 000
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 20/10/2023On the OTHER hand, it's also clear in the first half hour of Morrowind why I can't get anyone new to play this clunky thing. 110
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 20/10/2023On the one hand, crawling into the first little Morrowind dungeon is an Experience. Combat is a frantic scramble where only every other stab lands. You peel pieces of chitinous armor from the smugglers you have slain, you steal their valuable smuggled drugs, you free their slaves. You muddy out. 110
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 06/10/2023I've never done 6 or Kiwami 2, but that sounds amazing. Eating new food in Judgment is still a method of gaining XP! And often the restauranteer will ask for your advice on this or that. 010
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 06/10/2023I still need to finish Judgment! It's been a wild year for my gaming attentions, but it is so charming. Sitting down at every restaurant, sampling all the food, triggering multiple culinary quests -- THIS is what Starfield lacks. Right here. 211
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 06/10/2023Every time I play The Fabulous Fear Machine, I feel like I'm reading an issue of EC Horror Comics. Even when there's nothing happening but tense dialogues. 020
Bagginz @wickedbaggins.bsky.social · 05/10/2023Still failing to get back into the movie watchin business, but December's gonna be good. Just look at it! The Boy and the Heron, The Color Purple, and Poor Things. 070
