This has started conversations about safety and dignity of women in the industry. Notwithstanding the legal outcome, this case has reshaped the Malayalam film industry, with greater awareness and a demand for more equitable workplaces. For the survivor in this case and others, the fight continues.

NWMI calls for accountability from TV news channels: Instead of providing accurate and responsible reporting of facts, these outlets put out sensational stories, misinformation, unverified claims and deep fakes. This has eroded public trust in the Indian media and hurt the country’s credibility.
