Context matters. Epstein hosted science events. Hawking reportedly attended Epstein-sponsored scientific conferences on Epstein's private island in 2006 and 2012. Epstein cultivated relationships with prominent scientists. The files need to be released to truly clear the air on who the pedos are.

Winner-takes-all, is Trump's approach to negotiating. Hemispheric dominance is official US government policy. That's why we are in a trade war. The USMCA agreement still exists, tariffs break it and break trust. Canada refuses to become a vassal state. We're moving on because we have to.

Believe it or not Canadians can relate. Official Trump government policy as stated in the National Security Strategy is for hemispheric dominance. Basically trying to turn Canada into a vassal state. The cartoon is far from tone deaf IMO.

Both involve a larger power questioning a smaller neighbour's sovereignty and using pressure tactics (military in one case, economic in the other) to push toward absorption or subordination. Zelensky described the tension as "strange," drawing an explicit comparison to Ukraine and Russia's situation
