Maybe that with all the changes happening at Winton, Sunfield may not happen - fingers crossed.

Such remarkable patience results in another beautiful offering from the House of Hetet. Sam wears it wonderfully.

This letter is worth reading. We've been trained to think of courage in a very specific way that is only a fraction of where you can find real courage. Free Palestine. It's a genocide. Supporting the Palestinian people against the current Israeli government is not antisemitism. Don't be silent.

I have family members (lifetime National voters) who voted TOP last time as didn't warm to Luxon. I expect they'll do the same this year. Our conversations are very fraught. I'm as baffled as you.

Heather @whrhc.bsky.social · 05/08/2026

They're refugees from NACT and NZ First who will never ever vote red labour, satanic greens, or too hot to handle TPM. Never read a manifesto or considered anyone but themselves. Then there'll be " but this isn't what I voted for" !

That's wonderful news. Congrats and don't keep beating yourself up. You are amazing.

Totally agree Sarah. I said to a family member just yesterday that I don't recognise us anymore. Jarring, sad, and very disheartening.

In 2023 election my UK resident grandson with a Masters in International Relations was eligible to vote here as had been home for a visit. He analysed all the manifestos and said the only possible vote for him here was TPM which he did. My East Auckland friends were aghast, I beamed with pride.

That was my first thought too. Obscenely indifferent to the suffering of communities.

I'm sorry about that Cath. Seems it's always been that way. Let's hope that it's the worst of the comments and actions.

I found the Maritime Museum in Aberdeen fascinating. Also the old fishing village of Footdee which is an easy walk from Maritime Museum. Unfortunately the art gallery and and Museum were both closed for renos.

I had responsibility to sell house belonging to former partner when he went into care. Interviewed 3 agents. Also a development site and agents have access to developers. I passed in at auction, sold within week to developer not at auction. Also insert "as is where is" clause to cover you. Good luc

If you are still working and paying PAYE when eligible for superannuation the tax rate on PAYE is automatically adjusted by IRD. So of course doesn't catch those who receive drawings from a business or any other tax free package. Thus I hope that's who they intend to target and not the PAYE payer.

BREAKING: Iran President Pezeshkian releases a lengthy public letter addressed to the American people ahead of Trump's address, defending its actions, denying it poses a threat, and blaming the U.S. for escalating conflict—while warning that continued attacks will deepen instability and resentment.

Conveniently overlooking that banks are already foreclosing on some farmers who had to take on increased debt at high rates during the time of low product prices. They may protect rural contractors but the farmers will again carry the can. I am not talking about dairy farmers.
