Protection from #hepatitis B can start at birth. The hepatitis B birth dose vaccination should be given to newborns as soon as possible after birth, ideally within 24 hours, followed by completion of the full vaccine series.

Timely hepatitis treatment can save lives. Hepatitis C can be cured. Hepatitis B can be treated to reduce the risk of liver disease & liver cancer. But in the Western Pacific, many people still face barriers to diagnosis & treatment, incl. medicine cost, low awareness & limited service access.
