With Ghostface now in Mortal Kombat, a question: Scream was created to be a parody/pastiche of slasher flicks. They accidently made it so good it became one of the best known examples of slasher flicks. Something About Mary did this with rom-coms. What films have done this with other genres?

Fun fact about Assassin's Creed Shadows: It's actually Assassin's Creed 6! AC 2 started the Ezio trilogy. AC 3 started the Kenway quadrilogy. AC Syndicate (4) was standalone. AC Origins (5) started the Mythos quadrilogy. AC Shadows is, therefore, number 6. I claim this as an established fact.

I'd like to make a polite point of order about Bluesky: I see a large amount of posts with 'good morning' or 'good night' in them and I think we need to avoid that. This is an international site, plus it's not an instant messaging service. It's odd to be shown multiple good morning posts at 5pm.

This app has the potential to do something Twitter never could: Encourage people to actually tell me what film or TV show they're talking about! Posts are like "OMG I can't believe he finally did it!" Who? What? Posted 14hrs ago, 37k likes, no context in the first 50 replies.

There seems to be a lot of book talk on this app so I thought of a question I've had rattling round my head for years: Was 'The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo' an industry plant of some sort? It was a great trilogy of books. I just thought they were very dense for how generally popular they were.
