RetailReady (YC W24) Is Hiring | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Implementations at RetailReady | Y Combinator
We are RetailReady (YC W24) - an AI-powered supply chain compliance engine. We’ve raised $6.6M in funding, onboarded over 50 customers, and in the past 12 months we’ve 4x’d our revenue. We are building world-class software that will disrupt an antiquated industry & we want you on board. What we’re doing here matters.  We’re tackling everyday challenges for real people in the supply chain – that’s the heart of every business. With us, you’ll see your work come to life in amazing ways. Imagine being a part of why Walmart can restock baby formula, helping a health & beauty brand go from startup to Target shelves, and empowering warehouse workers with the latest tech. That’s the impact you’ll have. This isn’t just another job offer - it’s an opportunity to create your own path and make a tangible difference. What’s cool about retail compliance? - A majority of supply chain systems are archaic - bad UX, weeks to onboard, and old tech stacks - There is so much to disrupt in the supply chain space (we call it an engineer’s playground) - Compliance is fragmented across brands, warehouses, and retailers & we are first to market to solve operational retailer compliance within a warehouse Why work with us?  - Our team has operational, product, and engineering backgrounds across multiple industries, as well as deep supply chain industry experience – at Stord (a supply chain unicorn startup), Microsoft, and Manhattan Associates - You’ll be joining an awesome team at the start:  we’re low in ego, high in intellectual curiosity, and aren't afraid to make mistakes but above all we win together as a team! - We’re fun to work with - just watch any of our Weekly Round Up Videos on LinkedIn and you’ll see Position Overview: - Lead the deployment of our software in warehouses and across tech stacks for Brands and 3PLs alike - Travel to customer locations for up to ~ 50% of the month - Collaborate with our engineers to conduct quality assurance on features - Provide insights from on-site experiences to influence the product roadmap This position is not for the faint of heart - we have ambitious plans for RetailReady, and we want someone who shares the same level of ambition, and has the tenacity & passion to stick with us for the long haul. We have an in-person team in San Francisco. If you’ve gotten this far and are fired up, reach out.

Great Question (YC W21) Is Hiring Product Engineers in Canada (Remote) | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Product Engineer (AI / Full-Stack) at Great Question | Y Combinator
About Great Question: Great Question is the all-in-one AI customer research platform for understanding your customers. Our platform enables teams to recruit participants, run research, and share insights – all in one place. Backed by world-class investors and trusted by industry-leading teams like Gusto, Experian, Canva, and Brex, we’re building the future of customer research. We believe AI is a multiplier for creativity, speed, and scale. Everyone on the team is encouraged to lean into AI, not just to be more efficient, but to push boundaries and unlock new possibilities. Whether you’re writing, designing, coding, or analyzing, we expect you to explore how AI can elevate your craft. Our culture is built on high trust, high agency, and high emotional intelligence. If you’re looking for a place where your voice matters, where work is fun, and where you're empowered to do your best - join us in redefining user research 🚀 Product Engineer (Full-Stack) — Canada, Remote   I’m PJ, CTO at Great Question. My co-founder Ned and I built this company on a simple idea: talking to your customers should be easy. This has only become more relevant as it’s become faster to build, but validating your ideas is still slow and painful. Research, design, and product teams at ServiceNow, Brex and Canva run their customer research on us, and we raised a $13M Series A led by Inovia late last year after going through YC in 2021. This year we’ve been doubling down on the agentic future of research. We’re super excited about what we’ve built and now we need help to continue rebuilding core parts of our product, agent-first. I’m hiring our first Product Engineers in Canada to do it with us. The role Product Engineer here means you take a problem and run with it end to end - from the customer conversation to production to validating whether it actually worked. PM support is light and as-required: a PM helps size the problem, shape the appetite, and call priority, but nobody hands you a spec. From there you're trusted to find the right solution, because you're close to the customer and you have great product sense. That only works with people who are self-directed and genuinely value autonomy and accountability. You'll build across the product stack - from Rails APIs and React/TypeScript frontends to video streaming, realtime voice agents, agentic search, product analytics, and everything in between - working directly with the founders, our designer, and the rest of engineering. What we're looking for How you work. AI is embedded across your entire workflow - not just used for coding. You might spend a morning digging through interview transcripts and product analytics to understand a problem, build a few throwaway prototypes to see which approach holds up, and then build a technical plan before handing it to a couple of agents to build and QA. We’re expecting great judgment around all of that: breaking work into sensible pieces, evaluating the output carefully, and most importantly, owning whatever ships, regardless of who typed it. What you build. You build highly usable, customer-centric products that people love. You take the extra time to really dig into the data to make sure you understand the problem; and validate that what you’ve built actually solves it. You’ll go the extra mile to deliver something with UI + UX polish, while also thinking in systems to make sure that you’re using the right primitives so you’re delivering less bespoke solutions. Who you are. We're a small team of exceptional engineers, and we only hire people who raise the bar. - Strong across the full stack. An expert in both exposing APIs and the frontend it sits upon. We’re a Rails and TypeScript team, but it’s not a hard requirement. - Built and run production systems. Shipping features live and then maintaining them long enough to see what works (and what doesn’t!) - Live in an agentic coding harness daily (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor - we don't care which) and have real opinions about your setup. - Ideally shipped LLM-powered features, or least know what it takes to run them in production. - Have shipped things where you decided what to build, and can defend your UX opinions. - Write clearly. We're remote and async-heavy; people who write clearly think (and prompt) clearly. - Are senior (roughly 5+ years with real ownership). Our level grading is tougher than most. How we build We've rebuilt how we work around AI agents, to ensure our engineers are unblocked to work at AI native speeds: - Main goes to production and approvals aren’t always required. Fast, automated CI is the gate, and we trust people to make the right judgements. Good work goes live as soon as it’s finished. - We invest in making the codebase easy to work in: written runbooks and conventions that help agents and new people find their way around quickly. - Running a few agents in parallel is easy, and expected. Sandboxes and preview environments are trivial to spawn. - You'll always have the latest tools and models, and we're generous with tokens. - Light on ceremony, high on accountability and communication. This might not be for everyone, but if it excites you, please apply. We’re especially keen to meet people who are willing to challenge some of these ideas with their own hard-won lessons from the arena. Your first 90 days We expect you to hit the ground running, and fast. - Week 1: use the harness to learn the codebase and merge your first PR, ideally on day one. You’re deep in the customer data, in their Slack channels, and solving problems. - First 30 days: ship into a live area. That might be AI Moderator quality, or working directly on our global chat experience. You understand the product, the competitors, the problems we’re solving, and have a view on how we can win. - By 60 days: You own a surface - how the research agent communicates findings, growing our MCP surface, or rebuilding a core page on the new design system. - By 90 days: you're deep on a product area: talking to its customers, deciding what's next, accountable for whether it worked. You’re pushing the strategy with the founders & Head of Product in new directions with confidence. Who shouldn't apply - Ambiguity and shifting priorities wear you down. Problems arrive here half-shaped, and the roadmap has changed under our feet more than once this year. Some people find that energizing; if you don't, you'll hate it. - You wait to be unblocked. We’re a small team, remote, and with light processes… resourcefulness is critical to the job. We need people who unblock themselves. - You’re not all-in on AI. Dabbling won't cut it here. Agents are how we work, not a thing we're trying out. - You'd rather not talk to customers. Product engineers here get on calls, read transcripts, and sit in the support queue sometimes. That closeness is the whole point of the role. - You only want the shiny work. Plenty of weeks are polish, reliability, and making something 5% less annoying. - You want a PM to frame the problem and hand you a spec. “Just tell me what to build and I’ll build it” will not fly here. Benefits - Full-time employment with proper benefits, generous salary in CAD. - Remote, anywhere in Canada. We generally work PST hours, but are flexible. - 4 weeks PTO - Annual team offsite (this year is San Diego!) - Brand new Macbook pro - Enough tokens that you'll never be left wanting - Freedom to use the latest technologies and vendors A note on compensation: Our offers sit in a defined band for the level, and set by our internal leveling rubric (scope of ownership, technical depth, previous relevant experience), not by negotiation. Most offers land near the midpoint. Our interview process 1. Intro call w/ Cofounder/CTO (30 min). Your story, what you've shipped. Our story, the impact you can have here. 2. Quality session (~ 60 min). Do you know what quality looks like - both in terms of product and code. 3. Building session (~90 min). Build something real in our domain with your own AI tooling, the way you actually work; we walk through the code together as you go. We reimburse AI credits. 4. Team + values (~60 min). Meet the people you'll work with and ensure we all see the world the same way. 5. Founder conversation (~30 min). Meet the CEO. 6. References, then offer. No leetcode. AI tools aren't just allowed - they're expected just as they are in the job. How to apply Send a link to something you've built that real people are using - and a few sentences on why you’re interested in this role. Why You’ll Love Working Here: - A culture of customer obsession and curiosity - Opportunity to shape and scale a critical business function - Remote-first culture with high trust and high autonomy - Annual team retreats and virtual events - Opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI integrations that matter - Competitive compensation & equity - Generous PTO, health benefits, and learning stipend _ Equal Opportunity Statement _ Great Question is committed to providing a workplace free from discrimination or harassment. We expect every member of the Great Question community to do their part to cultivate and maintain an environment where everyone has the opportunity to feel included, and is afforded the respect and dignity they deserve. Decisions related to hiring, compensating, training, evaluating performance, or terminating are made fairly, and we provide equal employment opportunities to all qualified candidates and employees. We examine our unconscious biases and take responsibility for always striving to create an inclusive environment that makes every employee and candidate feel welcome.

Truemetrics (YC S23) Is Hiring a GTM Founder's Associate | Discussion
ycombinator.com
GTM Founder's Associate at truemetrics | Y Combinator
Join truemetrics - Build technology to navigate the world truemetrics helps organizations to navigate the world more efficiently. We are solving one of the biggest pain points in last mile delivery: how to get parcels, groceries, and food to the right door faster and more efficiently. Our technology sits in the smartphone of the courier and understands where they park, walk and enter a building. Our technology is right now mapping locations in Germany, Qatar, the UK, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, the Netherlands and many other countries. Our traction YC-backed, profitable, and past €1.5M ARR - selling to enterprise carriers like GLS, DPD, and PostNord. The core works. Now the job is the take-off from €1M to €10M+: strengthening what's working today (the now) and discovering what's next (the new). Who we are We are a tech-driven, customer-obsessed company with a small but highly skilled team, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in mapping and positioning. You'll work directly with the two founders. Ingo (CEO), a serial founder with a background in engineering and tech consulting, leads go-to-market and customers. Jan (CTO), with a PhD in control theory and a decade of engineering experience, leads tech and product. We thrive on autonomy, ownership, and speed—which means we're looking for curious problem-solvers who love tackling hard challenges and making an immediate impact. If you want structure, rigid processes, and a slow corporate environment, this is not the place for you. The role This is a founders’ associate role, working directly with the founders - no layer in between. You'll spend most of your time running and improving the engine that brings in new business, with real room to also help us figure out what comes next. Path 1 - Run and grow the outbound engine. Own our outbound machine day to day: build and improve campaigns, manage the pipeline, support deals from discovery onward, and get involved in live customer POCs. You won't just execute an existing playbook - you'll be expected to question it, propose changes, and make it better as you learn it. Path 2 - Support what's next. Alongside running outbound, you'll get real exposure to the exploratory side of the business: testing a new market or product angle, improving how we work , and producing content that supports the sales motion. You won't be handed a finished playbook and told to execute it forever - you'll be expected to learn it fast, question it, and improve it as you go. Your first 90 days - By day 30 - ramp up. Get set up on our tools, learn the real pipeline and playbook inside out, and follow at least one real deal end to end. Build a first campaign sequence from scratch, with support - not a copy of the template, but your own take on how it should work. Start reassessing our account list and what it means for our target market. - By day 60 - increase autonomy. Run outbound day to day with real independence, actively support 2-3 live deals from discovery onward, get meaningfully involved in an active customer POC, and land a first real conclusion on a new market or product opportunity you've been testing. - By day 90 - own it. Full day-to-day ownership of the outbound engine, at least one process improvement or GTM experiment carried from idea to a real, evaluated outcome, and a working signals process that helps the whole team know when it's the right moment to reach out to an account. What we're really looking for - You're curious and you push. You ask "why do we do it this way" and "can't we do this instead" - not to be difficult, but because you actually want to understand and improve things. We'd rather have someone who asks a lot of good questions than someone who only executes. - You want to be in the arena. You're energized by the commercial side of the business - reaching out to prospects, working deals, supporting live customer projects - not just studying it from a distance. Beyond that: - Fast learner, comfortable with ambiguity. This is a junior role, but not a scripted one - you'll often be figuring out the right approach as you go, with support from the founders. - Strong self-starter instincts. We're looking for someone who can make real progress with light direction, not someone who needs daily hand-holding - though plenty of support is there when you need it. - Good judgment under real stakes. Comfortable slowing down on genuinely ambiguous problems rather than jumping to the first answer. - Based in Berlin with a valid work permit. This is a full-time, on-site role (home-office 1 day/week is normal) working closely with the founders and the commercial team. - Additional languages are a plus, especially French, Italian, or Spanish, given real gaps in our current outbound coverage of those markets. Who thrives here We're open on background - the two must-haves above matter more than any résumé line. This role is a great fit for someone early in their career who wants outsized exposure and responsibility rather than a slow, structured graduate program. People who tend to thrive here: - Recent graduates or early-career professionals (1-2 years) who want to learn commercial/GTM work by actually doing it, directly with the founders, rather than sitting several layers removed from customers. - People with some prior sales, business development, or customer-facing experience who are looking for a steeper learning curve and more ownership than a typical junior sales role offers. - Naturally curious, commercially minded people who like asking "why" and pushing on how things are done - even if they don't yet have a deep sales background. Previous startup experience wanted We're especially interested in applicants who have already worked in a startup and understand the pace, ambiguity, and ownership that come with it. Previous experience as a founders' associate is ideal: you'll already know what it means to switch quickly between execution, analysis, customer work, and open-ended problems while working directly with founders. Why join us? - Real impact. Your work ships into production and moves the company's direction - visibly, fast. - Direct founder access. Work shoulder-to-shoulder with the founding team, no bureaucracy. - Ownership from day one. The right person won't take a predefined template - you'll push back and have your own idea of what this should be. We expect that, and we give you a say. - Backed by the best. Y Combinator, Soma Capital, Rebel Fund, and other top investors. - Pick your own hardware. Yearly budget - buy what you want and keep it. - Equity package. You're playing a key role; you should share in the upside. A meaningful equity package is planned for this position alongside salary. Why NOT to join us? If you need a team to help you got things done, a slow pace, if you are uncomfortable with uncertainty, or a job where you can coast without ownership, this isn't it. We move fast, iterate quickly, and expect everyone to contribute with initiative and creativity. How to apply - Include your CV. - Tell us why you're a great fit - be specific. Bonus: point to a time you originated something and drove it yourself, not as part of a defined playbook.

Kyber (YC W23) Is Hiring a Forward Deployed Engineer | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Forward Deployed Engineer at Kyber | Y Combinator
At Kyber, we're building the next-generation document platform for enterprises. Today, our AI-native solution transforms regulatory document workflows, enabling insurance claims organizations to consolidate 80% of their templates, spend 65% less time drafting, and compress overall communication cycle times by 5x. Our vision is for every enterprise to seamlessly leverage AI templates to generate every document. Over the past year, we’ve: - 50x’d platform volume and are profitable. - Landed multiple six and seven figure, multi-year contracts with leading insurance enterprises. - Launched strategic partnerships with industry leading software partners like Guidewire, Majesco, and Twilio Sendgrid. Kyber is backed by top Silicon Valley VCs, including Y Combinator and Fellows Fund. We're looking for a future founder and  early-career engineer to quarterback the full technical relationship with our enterprise customers — from the moment a deal gets technical, through building what they need, to being their first call when something breaks. You'll work directly with our CEO, GTM team, customer success team, and with the engineers who build our core platform. Responsibilities Own the Full Technical Sales Delivery Lifecycle - Quarterback technical delivery for enterprise accounts end-to-end: from technical scoping conversations, through building the integration or configuration, all the way through stable enterprise scale usage. - Represent Kyber directly to enterprise stakeholders, working closely with our CEO, Head of Engineering and GTM team. - Ship custom integrations and account-specific requests directly. Serve as First-Line Triage - Be the first responder on customer-reported issues: diagnose whether something is a real bug, a configuration gap, or a training issue. - Resolve what you can directly; escalate genuine bugs to the engineer who owns that code, with enough context that they aren’t starting cold. Compound Your Own Leverage Over Time - As you see requests repeat, look for the self-serve feature or build the internal tool that makes the next one unnecessary. - Work at the intersection of GTM, Engineering and Customer Success to improve internal processes around the customer lifecycle. What We’re Looking For in You: - Strong engineering fundamentals — comfortable shipping real code and picking up an unfamiliar codebase. - Some exposure to or genuine interest in sales engineering / technical pre-sales — you’ll be owning these conversations and representing Kyber’s technical architecture, not just observing them. - Naturally curious and diagnostic — you like figuring out why something broke, not just that it did. - Comfortable talking to non-engineers, credible in front of enterprise stakeholders. - AI-native — you build with AI coding tools as a default part of how you work, and you’re comfortable speaking credibly about how LLMs power what we ship when a customer asks. Your First 90 Days First 30 days — Ramp - Get up to speed on Kyber's product, codebase, and top enterprise accounts - Ship your first small fix or config change to a customer-facing integration, with support from the engineering team - Sit in on customer and prospect calls to see how deals and support conversations actually happen First 60 days — Start owning - Independently triage and resolve your first customer-reported issue end-to-end — diagnosis through fix or escalation - Take a supporting role in a live technical scoping conversation with a prospect - Ship a custom integration or account-specific request with minimal oversight First 90 days — Full ownership - Independently run point on a technical scoping conversation with an enterprise prospect - Be the default first responder for a defined set of accounts or issue types - Identify and build your first self-serve fix or internal tool for a recurring request

Roame (YC S23) Is Hiring Viral Content Editor | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Content Systems Builder / Editor at Roame | Y Combinator
About Roame Roame is a flight and hotel search engine for points and miles. Booking business or first class with points instead of cash saves travelers thousands of dollars on a single trip. The hard part is finding the seats. Award space is scattered across dozens of airline and hotel programs, it moves constantly, and the best deals get taken. Doing it by hand means hours across a dozen browser tabs, and often days. Roame finds those deals in seconds. Members also book hotels through us and get our commission rebated back to them immediately. Roame was founded by Tim and Zi. Tim spent the previous decade covering consumer and travel companies on the hedge fund side. Zi ran data encryption systems at Airbnb. We started Roame after losing dozens of hours hunting for first class award space to Asia across a dozen browser tabs. Award travel is a data problem. Humans shouldn't have to solve it by hand. About the Role We're hiring a Content Editor to build and run the machine that produces our video content — not just to edit clips. The distinction matters. We're not looking for someone who takes a brief, opens Premiere, and disappears for two days. We're looking for someone who designs a repeatable template for a content format, figures out which parts of it a machine can produce (b-roll, motion graphics, screen recordings, captions, voice, variants, cutdowns) and which parts need a real human on camera or on mic, and then assembles those two halves into something that doesn't feel assembled. If you've ever looked at your own editing workflow and thought "I'm doing this same 40 minutes of work every single time, I should systematize it" — this is that job. One thing to be upfront about: we're in the business of extremely informative, time-sensitive content. A transfer bonus, a mistake fare, an award chart devaluation — these are worth a lot on day one and nothing by day four. Speed is everything. Good and out today beats perfect next week, every time. If what you want is a deeper artistic vision and the runway to chase it, this is not the right role and you'll be frustrated here. Ideally, you also know how to grow an audience. We want someone with real instincts for what goes viral and how a channel compounds — not just clean edits, but follower growth, reach, and the kind of content that gets shared. We're starting this as a contract engagement, but the intent is that the right person grows into a full-time, key member of the team who owns Roame's audience end to end. What You'll Own Build the templates. Define repeatable formats for our recurring content: deal breakdowns, route explainers, product walkthroughs, founder/creator talking-head pieces, UGC-style ads. Each format gets a documented structure — hook patterns, pacing, caption style, motion system, asset library, project template — so episode #40 takes a fraction of the time episode #1 did. Run the AI layer. Use generative tools for the tedious 70%: b-roll and stock replacement, generated visuals, voice cleanup and synthesis, auto-transcription and subtitling, silence removal, rough cuts from transcript, variant generation for ad testing. You should be opinionated about which tools are actually good and ruthless about which ones produce slop. Stitch in the human parts. Coach and capture the human-recorded pieces — talking head, VO, screen recordings, phone footage — and blend them with generated material so the seams don't show. Knowing when not to use AI is as much of this job as knowing when to. Shoot on location. We make destination content — hotels, lounges, cabins, cities. You may be asked to go on trips to shoot it, and to be on camera yourself. This isn't a behind-the-lens-only role: we're looking for someone comfortable being a personality in the content, not just the person cutting it. Travel and hotels are covered. Produce the volume. Ship short-form for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts, plus longer YouTube pieces and paid social creative. Multiple pieces a week, not a month. Close the loop. Watch retention curves and ad performance, find where people drop, and feed that back into the templates. Hooks get iterated, not guessed at. Keep the system usable by others. Document workflows, maintain the asset and preset library, and build things anyone on the team can pick up — so the machine doesn't stop when you're on vacation. What We're Looking For - You're fast, and you ship. Same-day turnarounds are normal here. You know when a piece is good enough to go out and you don't sit on it. - You build systems, not just files. You think in templates, presets, naming conventions, and reusable components. You get visibly annoyed by repeated manual work. - Real editing chops. Premiere / Final Cut / DaVinci / CapCut — whatever you use, the output has to be sharp. Motion and animation ability (After Effects or equivalent) is a big plus. - Fluent with AI video tooling. Generative video and image, AI voice, transcript-based editing, auto-captioning, upscaling, cleanup. You've already built at least one workflow that chains several of these together. - Taste, specifically for short-form. You can watch a cut and say exactly where it loses people and why. You understand hooks, pacing, retention, and what makes something feel native to a feed vs. like an ad. - Real shooting sense. Framing, lighting, audio. You can travel light, set up a clean creator rig in a hotel room, and come home with usable footage without a crew. - A growth instinct. You understand what makes something spread, and you've got a point of view on how to take an account from where it is to where it should be. Bonus if you've done it before, for yourself or someone else. - Comfortable on camera. Or willing to get there fast. - Ownership. Small team, fast pace. You'll pick the format, make the call, ship it, and report on it — nobody is going to hand you a shot list. Nice to Have - You already care about points, miles, or travel (or you're the kind of person who will go deep on it in week one) - Experience editing UGC and direct-response ad creative, not just brand pieces - Design system fluency — you can hold a consistent visual language across dozens of pieces - Light scripting or automation (batch processing, ffmpeg, API-driven pipelines, agent tooling) - You've grown an account of your own and know what actually moved it How to Apply - Three pieces of work you're proud of. Links, not attachments. - One workflow teardown. Pick something you've made that mixed AI-generated and human-recorded material. Walk us through the template: what was generated, what was shot, what tools, how long it took, and how long it would take you on the tenth one. - A one-liner on why Roame.

SubImage (YC W25) Is Hiring a Founding Engineer in SF | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Founding Engineer at SubImage | Y Combinator
SubImage maps infrastructure the way an attacker does so security teams at scale-ups and enterprises can find and fix problems. We’re built on Cartography, the open source tool our founders helped create at Lyft that’s now a CNCF project, adopted at over 70 companies. We are a seed stage company (a mighty team of 4!) but are growing rapidly - our customers are companies and organizations that your parents have heard of. We need engineering help to meet the demand! This is your chance to get in on the ground floor of something big. Or at least, figure out very quickly that this won’t work (it’s startup life; just being honest about it). Novel engineering problems you’ll work on We’re seeking the holy grail in multiple security challenges. - Can we triage and contextualize security vulnerabilities? This problem goes deep: - Are the vulns on internet-facing assets? Via which active services? What is the full path? - Are the vulnerable functions truly reachable from a code perspective? - Are there any compensating controls at play that make the vuln invalid? - Once exploited, does the vuln grant access to sensitive data? Via what providers, and via how many hops? - Any agent can generate code now. How can we prove that the security fixes our agent proposes will not break anything? - How do we build a near-real time, self-updating map of our environment so that we can see and stop attacks as they happen? - How do we teach an agent to answer questions about our graph very quickly, while making sure that it has just the context that it needs, without making mistakes? - How do we correctly determine the owner of a given resource based on environment heuristics like actions, tags, logs, files? - How do we reliably and sustainably track and manage the state of compliance processes like vulnerability management? - How might we implement “time travel” in our knowledge graph so that we can replay an attack as it happened? If these sorts of challenges sound inspiring, this is our life’s work, and this is the job for you. Who we’re looking for - 3+ years experience at high growth companies. We are looking for fast trajectory. You are curious and hungry.  - Strong experience in distributed systems and cloud tech. - You are based in the SF Bay Area and want to work in-person, in-office 5 days a week. - Strong sense of ownership. You care deeply about delivering a solution end-to-end. - You demonstrate strong first-principles, systems thinking. - You aren’t afraid of implementing gnarly business logic to make the lives of jaded security engineers easier. Ideally you can do this in a maintainable and elegant way. Nice to have - Knowledge of cloud-native infra e.g. Kubernetes. - Information security knowledge and interest. Our stack - Cartography does the ingestion. You’ll be shipping code that runs at over 70 companies, not just ours. - Neo4j holds the graph. - Python backend with FastAPI. - Svelte frontend with a custom homegrown cool-as-hell WebGL graph renderer. - An MCP server that exposes the graph and everything in our platform to AI agents. - IaC with Terraform. Benefits - Health + Vision + Dental - 401k match (what STARTUP does this?) Perks - Gym membership - Lunches with team - Unlimited PTO

Founding Creative Engineer – Gooseworks (YC W23) Is Hiring | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Founding Creative Engineer at Gooseworks | Y Combinator
Growth = your taste * a fleet of video agents * lots of experiment. We want someone who can own this. About GooseWorks Distribution is the hardest problem every company has. Getting a product in front of people, over and over, in a way that works. Today that means an army of humans making creative, testing it, reading the numbers, and doing it again next week. It doesn't scale, and it's the single biggest tax on every consumer brand in the world. We think that changes. The billion-dollar companies of the next decade will look different. They won't scale linearly with headcount — they'll be run by fleets of AI agents running growth. Gooseworks is building self-improving AI agents that run growth for consumer brands — ads, UGC, organic — end to end. It’s early - this is just a few months old, but we have very strong pull and are growing fast: - 200+ paying users - 30,000+ ad creatives generated by our users in the last 2 months We're a YC company based in San Francisco, and we run the company on agent harnesses ourselves. The role You will own growth and distribution for GooseWorks. Your job will be to build the systems to scale content, and having the creative taste and judgement to improve them. More specifically, you will own: - Creator channels, AI-operated. You design the niche, the format, the hooks, the content, everything and use our AI creative agent to make organic social content at SCALE. - Our voice on X and LinkedIn. Not "brand content", value content and stories that get noticed. - The taste layer of our creative agent. You'll teach our creative agent what "good" means. It's the highest-leverage work at this company. - Launches. Narrative, assets, video, sequencing, day-of. End to end, from a blank page. What we're looking for 1. Taste. You know what good content looks like. You have a great sense of design. You understand what people resonate with. 2. Proof-of-work: We need to see that you can make short-form that performs. IG, TikTok, YouTube, etc. 3. Technical AI video skills. You know what it takes to make great content using AI, and you’ve already been doing it. 4. You think in systems. We’re not looking for someone to write content. We’re looking for someone to build the thing that does. 5. You live inside AI agents. Claude Code, Codex, etc. You understand what a harness is and how to build one. Strong preferences for: - a technical background - proven content creator muscle This is a 0→1 job That means: - High ownership: You'll own channels end-to-end, whatever that might mean. You’ll have autonomy and a high degree of creative control. - Lots of experimentation: You’ll try lots of things fast and double down on what works. - Messy problems, fast loops. Ship daily, execute is measured in hours, not weeks. - You're part of the founding team. You're probably not a fit if - You’re used to working with large teams to get things done. - You have never created awesome content. - You have never built a content systems or agent skills / harnesses. - You think AI-generated content can never be more than slop. (we’re looking for someone to prove the world wrong)

Attimet (YC F24) Is Hiring Members of Technical Staff – Engineering and Research | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Member of Technical Staff | Engineering at attimet | Y Combinator
Why you should join us - We’re building a research lab with a real-time feedback loop. - We’re building AI systems that expand how quickly a small research team can understand, build, and experiment. - Our edge is the speed at which we can form ideas, build systems, run experiments, and learn from reality. - You’ll work directly with the founders and have real ownership over what we build and how we build it. - We’re a small team with over a decade of experience at places like Optiver, DRW, and Argo AI. What you’ll do - Build LLM-powered systems and agent harnesses that help us research, engineer, and operate faster. - Design the infrastructure around them: tools, context, memory, evals, orchestration, observability, and execution environments. - Find new ways to turn frontier models into reliable systems that do useful work. - Work across the stack when needed. At our size, the problem matters more than the job boundary. - Own projects end-to-end: identify opportunities, prototype quickly, ship, measure what works, and iterate. What we’re looking for - You have unusually high initiative: you notice important problems, figure out what should exist, and make it happen without waiting to be told. - You’re technically sharp and learn extremely quickly. - You’ve built seriously with LLMs, agents, harnesses, or adjacent AI infrastructure. - You move quickly, reason from first principles, and enjoy problems where the right architecture has not been figured out yet. - You care more about what works in practice than following established patterns. - Curiosity, intensity, and technical judgment matter much more to us than credentials or years of experience. Your first 30 days - First week: learn how we work, find something important that could be dramatically better, and start making it better. - By 15 days: take ownership of a meaningful technical problem end-to-end, including deciding what to build and how to measure whether it works. - By 30 days: we want you independently identifying what matters and driving projects that materially increase what the team can do. You’ll have the autonomy and resources to do some of the best work of your life. GoGoGrandparent (YC S16) is hiring back end engineers | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Backend Engineer at GoGoGrandparent | Y Combinator
About the Company GoGoGrandparent’s (GoGo’s) mission is to help older adults live independently in their home for as long as possible. We do that by tailoring existing on demand apps to the needs of people living with mobility, visual, cognitive and dexterity impairments and letting older adults use them by making a phone call. After ordering, our service becomes a virtual caregiver that monitors the instrumental activities of daily living (mobility, meals, groceries, medication delivery & home management) for tens of thousands of older adults around the United States. We’re profitable, have been around since 2016 & haven’t raised any venture capital financing to date. The company was inspired by the cofounder’s grandmother, who still uses us to this day (she’s turning 95 in March)! Our engineering team is fully remote, tight-knit, and moves fast. You’ll work closely with founders, ship meaningful features weekly, and have real ownership over architecture, reliability, and product direction. This is a fully remote position Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer with strong expertise in Node.js / Typescript to design, build, and maintain scalable backend systems. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality features end-to-end, collaborating closely with product and project managers, and continuously improving the codebase through thoughtful refactoring. The ideal candidate takes ownership of their work, writes clean and maintainable code, and contributes to system architecture decisions. They will work across the full development lifecycle—from planning and implementation to testing, deployment, and monitoring—while ensuring reliability and performance in production. In addition to execution, this role involves improving engineering processes, reviewing code, mentoring other developers, and helping drive technical standards across the team. Responsibilities - Design, develop, and deliver backend features using Node.js / Typescript, ensuring high performance and scalability - Collaborate with product and project managers to clarify requirements and translate them into technical solutions - Own tasks end-to-end, from implementation through testing, deployment, and monitoring - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve bugs and production issues in a timely manner - Continuously refactor and improve existing code to enhance maintainability, performance, and reliability - Review pull requests, provide constructive feedback, and uphold code quality and engineering standards - Write clean, well-documented, and testable code following best practices - Participate in system design and architecture discussions, contributing to long-term technical decisions - Monitor system performance and proactively address bottlenecks or reliability issues - Collaborate with cross-functional teams (frontend, QA, DevOps) to ensure smooth delivery of features - Mentor other engineers and contribute to improving team processes and development workflows Tech Stack - Back-end heavy: Node.js, TypeScript, MySQL, REST + GraphQL - Front-end: Vue.js (nice to have) - Deployment: AWS, Docker/Kubernetes (nice to have) Skills & Qualifications - 6+ years of professional experience (primarily in Node.js and Vue.js) - Able to work US timezone or 4+ hours overlap with mainland US - Able to take ownership and initiative on features / problems Benefits - Fully remote position - $80k – $180k (based on location, experience and seniority) - Significant quarterly bonus tied to meeting sprint goals - Paid holidays - Personal Time-off of 15 days at start - Engineering team retreat - US Employees - Healthcare Insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision) - 401k Plan Why work at GoGo https://www.gogograndparent.com/whyworkatgogoengineering - Meaningful work: Build technology that helps older adults and people with disabilities live more independently. - Real-world impact: Your work directly affects customers’ daily lives, from arranging transportation to accessing meals, groceries, and other essential services. - Interesting technical challenges: Solve complex problems involving real-time communications, AI voice agents, third-party integrations, payments, logistics, and high-volume systems. - Strong ownership: Engineers are trusted to influence solutions from initial design through deployment and production monitoring. - Visible contribution: GoGo has a relatively small engineering team, so individual contributions have a meaningful impact on the product and company. - Modern technology: Work with Node.js, TypeScript, Vue, MySQL, AWS, Kubernetes, AI and other modern tools. - AI product development: Gain hands-on experience building production AI systems, including conversational phone agents, speech recognition, and automated customer support. - Build across multiple domains: Engineers have opportunities to work across different products, services, and technical challenges rather than being confined to a single feature area. - Direct collaboration: Work closely with product, operations, customer support, and company leadership rather than being separated by layers of management. - Technical influence: Engineers can help shape architecture, development processes, reliability practices, and engineering standards. - Remote-first environment: Work with an international team while maintaining meaningful collaboration and ownership. - Growing Startup: GoGo is profitable, generates significant revenue, and continues to expand its products and customer base. - Continuous improvement: The company invests in better testing, observability, infrastructure, security, compliance, and engineering processes. - Experienced teammates: Work alongside senior engineers who can provide thoughtful code reviews, technical discussions, and mentorship. Sprint performance-based bonus pay: The team can earn significant additional bonus compensation when sprint goals are met - Yearly engineering retreats: The engineering team meets in person each year to strengthen relationships, collaborate, plan, and spend time together outside the usual remote environment. - Learning budget: Receive reimbursement for any courses (Udemy, Pluralsight, etc), books, or other resources related to engineering or your work at GoGo If you're passionate about improving the lives of older adults and people with disabilities, we would love for you to apply!

Adentris (YC P25) Is Hiring | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Founding Engineer, AI RCM Healthcare Platform (TypeScript, Python) at Adentris | Y Combinator
About Adentris Adentris (Y Combinator) builds AI-powered compliance and revenue integrity infrastructure for behavioral health providers. Our systems read real patient records, find clinical and regulatory risk, and put it in front of the people who can act on it. We run on production PHI for paying customers, so every design decision reaches actual patients. We're also architected differently from most healthcare AI companies: all model inference runs inside our HIPAA-compliant Azure environment. No external LLM APIs ever touch patient data. That data-sovereign architecture is a core reason enterprise customers choose us, and you'll own it. The founders You'd be joining three founders, not just a company. Dmitry Karpov (CEO) is a second-time YC founder with a track record in B2B enterprise products and go-to-market. Sergey Yudovskiy (CPO) is also a second-time YC founder: he previously ran ElectroNeek (YC W20) as CEO, scaling it to ~$5M ARR across 30+ countries. He also comes from a family of physicians, which is why claims denied over documentation errors are personal, not abstract. Alex Odin (CTO) is a third-time founder who led AI at ManyChat ($140M+ ARR) and built consumer products used by 25M+ people; he owns the multi-agent architecture behind every Adentris module. You'll work with all three of us daily, and your line to a decision is one Slack message long. The role You'll own the technical direction of the platform end to end. This is not a senior IC role with a bigger title. You decide how clinical data is modeled, how our AI pipelines are evaluated and trusted, and what the platform looks like in two years. Then you build it. You'll sit in customer calls with Directors of Compliance, leave with a problem nobody has written down yet, and ship it within the quarter. When there's a hard call on architecture, or on whether a model output is safe to show a clinician, you're in the room making it. This is right for you if you've been the technical center of gravity on something real, and you'd rather own an ambiguous problem than a well-specified ticket. It's wrong for you if you want a defined scope or a team that already exists. You're the person who creates them. Your first 90 days - First 30 days: ship to production. Take over one of our five live modules (Documentation QA is the busiest), get its evaluation harness under your control, and ship an improvement a customer notices. - By day 60: own the EHR data layer. We integrate with the behavioral-health-native EMRs (Kipu, Alleva, BestNotes and others), and the ingestion and normalization architecture across them is yours to set. - By day 90: you've made at least one architecture decision the company will live with for years, defined how we evaluate model output before a clinician sees it, and set the bar the next engineering hires will be measured against. What you'll own - Architecture across the full stack: data model, ingestion, AI pipelines, application layer, infrastructure - The clinical data layer: ingesting and normalizing messy EHR data: FHIR, HL7, and the many formats that pretend to be them - AI systems clinicians actually trust: evaluation, ground truth, error analysis. Calling a model is easy. Proving the output is right is the job - Product judgment from data: go into real client data, find quality gaps nobody has flagged, turn them into shipped features - The engineering bar: as the team grows, you define how we hire, review, test, and ship What we're looking for - 5+ years shipping production software, with real ownership of systems that outlived your involvement - Deep TypeScript/Node and Python; advanced React and Next.js - Data engineering at scale: schema design, query optimization, pipelines over large volumes of semi-structured records - Production LLM systems, not demos. You've built the evaluation harness that kept them honest - Communication that carries weight: equally clear with a clinician, a founder, and an engineer Strong signals - Founding or early engineer at a startup that reached real scale - Regulated data experience (healthcare, finance, legal); you've been through a SOC 2 or HIPAA audit rather than only read about them - Hands-on with EHR data and clinical formats; embeddings and retrieval in production - Self-hosted or private model inference experience (Azure ML, vLLM, or similar) Details - Full-time, remote (US), with team meetups in San Francisco - Competitive salary plus founding-level equity - Direct line to the founders; short path from idea to production Stack: TypeScript, Node.js, React, Next.js, Python, SQL/NoSQL, Azure-hosted LLM inference, Docker, Kubernetes

Interested in co-living (though not required). - Comfortable with ambiguity and rapid change. - Track record of shipping fast. - Full-stack beyond code: comfortable jumping between frontend, backend, and organizational politics — earning trust with procurement specialists while navigating executive priorities and IT constraints. - Motivated by taking an unknown problem, sinking your teeth in, and coming up with a plan of attack. - Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, and at least one frontend library (React, Svelte, Next etc). - Be ready to show us at least one full-stack project you've shipped (GitHub repo / web app / Loom demo video). - Knowledge of SQL databases, preferably Postgres. - Personable: clients trust you, like you, and look forward to your updates. You handle the conversation and the code. - Low ego, curiosity, and intellectual honesty — focused on outcomes, not "being right." The Process Call with engineer → 1hr technical test → Call with founder → fly out to SF HQ (on us) → offer.

Sixtyfour (YC P25) Is Hiring | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Software Engineering Intern at Sixtyfour | Y Combinator
The Opportunity Sixtyfour turns a single name, email, or domain into a full, verified picture of a person or company — by sending AI agents out to research the open web the way a sharp analyst would, then checking and scoring what they find. You'll build real parts of that: the agents that reason and gather evidence, the systems that run them at scale, and the product people use to see the results. How We Work We spend most of our time — call it 80% — understanding the problem deeply, planning, and designing the system before a line gets written. Getting the design right is the hard part and the best part. We hold a high bar, we stay on the edge of what's possible, and everything we ship has to hold up at scale. If you love the part of engineering that happens on the whiteboard — arguing the right design, the failure modes, the tradeoffs — you'll fit here. What You'll Do - Build AI agents for OSINT and deep web research — design agents that investigate people and companies across the open web, public records, social platforms, and other sources, then cross-reference and structure what they find. - Own the thinking, not just the code — dig into the problem, weigh the designs, and write the plan before you build, because that's where the real leverage is. - Design systems that hold up at scale — reason through data volume, concurrency, latency, and cost up front, so what you build survives real load. - Ship features end to end — design, build, test, deploy — so customers get something new in weeks, not quarters. - Build and sharpen the AI agents that research people and companies, so enrichment returns more accurate, better-sourced answers. - Add new data sources and tools to the enrichment engine, so agents can reach information they couldn't before. - Write evals and tests that prove whether a model or agent change actually made results better, so the team improves on evidence instead of hope. - Make long-running jobs fast and reliable — batching, caching, retries, orchestration — so millions of records enrich without falling over. What We're Looking For Must-have — this is a high bar, and we mean it: - Strong engineering fundamentals. You understand how real systems work underneath — concurrency, APIs, databases, how the web fits together — and why they're built that way. Syntax is the easy part; you get the concepts beneath it. - System-design and architecture instinct. Hand you a fuzzy problem and you can break it into pieces, find the failure modes, weigh the tradeoffs, and design something that holds. You think before you build. - You think at scale by default. You reason about data volume, concurrency, latency, and cost without being told to — and you can point to real examples where you built, scaled, or seriously worked through large systems. - You've shipped something real and can defend every decision — a project, open source, research, a hackathon — and go deep on why you designed it the way you did. - You write solid code in at least one language and learn new ones fast. Our stack is mostly Python (backend and AI) and TypeScript/React (product) — you need one and the ability to pick up the other. - Genuine curiosity about LLMs and agents. You want to build with them, not just use them. - You move fast, own your work, and can work in person in San Francisco. Nice-to-have — bonus, not required: - Strong OSINT experience is a major plus — you’ve done deep online investigations, identity resolution, reverse username research, entity mapping, or similar open-source intelligence work. - You've built something with LLMs or agents — a research tool, a RAG app, a scraper, an agent loop. - Experience with distributed systems, queues, workflow engines, or high-throughput pipelines. - Some React or Next.js, or experience building data-heavy UIs. - You've run systems in production — databases (SQL/Postgres), Redis, search, observability. - A sharp eye for data quality — you notice when an answer looks right but is subtly wrong. If you came up a non-traditional path or haven't touched a specific tool, apply anyway. We'll teach you our stack. What we won't compromise on is how you think about problems. What You'll Get - Real ownership. You'll own features that reach production and paying customers, with your work clearly yours. - Direct mentorship from engineers building genuinely hard applied AI — research agents, evals, and the large-scale systems that run them — who will review your designs and push you to be great. - A team that thinks before it builds, so you'll leave a much stronger engineer: better at architecture, systems, and judgment, not just faster at typing. - A generous budget for the best LLMs and dev tools. We want you building with the strongest tools available, not rationing tokens. - Founder habits: scope your own work, make the call, and watch it land. The Details - Location: In person, San Francisco. This role is not remote. - Level: Junior and up — strong students, new grads, and early-career engineers all welcome. - Pay: $6,000–$10,000 / month, based on level and experience. - Perks: Lunch in the office, team offsites, and a real budget for LLM usage and tooling. How to Apply Show us something you built and be ready to go deep on why — the design you chose, the ones you rejected, and how it would hold up at scale. If you see a hard problem and your instinct is to understand it fully and own it end to end, we want to meet you. We're a small team, we move fast, and we hire people who want to be exceptional. Come build with us.

Gooseworks (YC W23) Is Hiring a Founding Builder / Engineer | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Founding Engineer / Builder at Gooseworks | Y Combinator
Note: This role is for someone who can combine engineering excellence with strong product thinking and taste. That’s why I’ve called it Founding Builder. The role is best for those who actually enjoy building products, not just building engineering systems. About Gooseworks Distribution is the hardest problem every company has. Not building the product — getting it in front of people, over and over, in a way that works. Today that means an army of humans making creative, testing it, reading the numbers, and doing it again next week. It doesn't scale, and it's the single biggest tax on every consumer brand in the world. We think that changes. The billion-dollar companies of the next decade won't scale linearly with headcount — they'll be run by fleets of AI agents, and the org chart will look more like an architecture diagram than a hierarchy. Gooseworks builds self-improving AI agents that run growth for consumer brands — ads, UGC, organic — end to end. Very early - this is just a few months old, but seeing very strong pull: - 200+ paying users - 30,000+ ad creatives generated by our users in the last 2 months We're a YC company based in San Francisco, and we run the company on agent harnesses ourselves — not as a demo, as the actual way the work gets done. About the Team We’re a small team that previously built Athina AI, an LLM observability & evaluation platform that was used by companies like Perplexity, You, Doximity, Meesho, and several other public companies. Now we’re building Gooseworks to solve a much more exciting problem. Goose is new, just a few months old. In the last few months itself, we’ve: - built and shipped a product with paying customers - attracted thousands of signups and over 200 paying customers - built a skill library with over 1.1k stars that’s been getting some real traction and usage. - grown a subreddit to 50k monthly visitors and over 4,000 community members - went viral on X a bunch of times - created a harness to teach our agent to make videos with AI (see examples here) A huge part of this was done by Goose, our AI coworker. Now we’re scaling this for our customers. About the role You'd be a core part of the founding team. That means owning product and engineering decisions, shipping new products and features, talking to users, and deciding what to do next. The market is constantly evolving and so are we. You should be comfortable trying lots of things with uncertain outcomes and failing fast. Exceptional candidates will be considered for founding-level scope and equity. What you'll work on - Creative generation agents — agents that understand a brand well enough to make assets that actually perform for the brand, not just assets that look fine. - Multi-channel distribution architecture — scaling creative across paid and organic channels, each with their own nuances. - Self-improving generation — teaching an agent to read its own ad performance data and get better at the next batch. Plus everything else a founding engineer touches: the app itself, the pipelines behind it, the internal harnesses that make four people move like twenty. We're looking for - Strong technical background. You can go deep anywhere in the stack and you're fast. - You've built and launched something real that people actually used. Company, side project, open source — we care that it shipped and that it got traction, not what it was attached to. - You know how to design and architect AI agents. You've built agentic systems, hit their failure modes, and have opinions about what works. - Strong at agentic engineering. Your own output is visibly agent-leveraged. This is how our whole company operates, so we especially value people who understand the intuitions behind agentic engineering well. - Strong product and design sense. You can think clearly about what to build and why / why not. Strong design sense / taste is also highly valued. - You want the 0 → 1. Early-stage operator energy: deep in the weeds, high tolerance for ambiguity, iterating fast toward PMF. Nice to have but not required: TypeScript/Next.js fluency, motion or video skills, and having been early at a startup before. Stack TypeScript everywhere. Express + Prisma + Postgres on the backend, Next.js / React + Tailwind on the frontend, Claude Agent SDK, Trigger.dev for the agent layer. Location San Francisco, in person strongly preferred. Only exceptional candidates will be considered for remote positions. If you've shipped something with real taste recently – send us the link.

Voltair (YC W26) Is Hiring a Test Flight Engineer | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Flight Test Engineer at Voltair | Y Combinator
About Voltair Voltair is building the world’s first distributed network of drones for earth observation. We envision a world where after a major storm, an operator of critical infrastructure can simply sign into our platform and dispatch a drone. Within minutes, we will identify high risk hazards and stream issues directly to crews on the ground. With our ground stations and long range drones, we can cover the continental U.S. with only ~5000 stations.  We operate as a full stack service, meaning we build drones, deploy them, capture data, analyze it, and deliver the results on our software platform. Our first market is power utilities. We’ve serviced multiple utilities already, and are preparing for our biggest deployment with a large multinational utility later this year. After working for a power utility, Hayden realized the great challenge utilities faced in maintaining and repairing thousands of assets across large land areas. Oftentimes a utility only knew of issues after the fault occurred, which is a problem because - with extremely high voltage - a physically small maintenance concern can easily cascade to massive wildfires. Ronan, after building drones for DARPA, knew drones were the right technology to solve this observability problem. After working together on a prior drone startup, Ronan brought in Warren to lead operations. Needing to sell to the government, Warren brought in Avi who had experience in aerospace lobbying. The founders are all childhood friends. The Role We’re looking for a Flight Test Engineer who is equally comfortable soldering a wiring harness on the bench and operating a 54lb fixed-wing aircraft in the field. This is not a pure R&D flight-test role and it's not a pure operations role, it's both. You'll build and validate the test fixtures and hardware that keep our flying robots reliable, and you'll deploy with that same hardware to fly real missions for large enterprise customers.  You’ll be responsible for turning our prototypes into production grade vehicles, ready to service customer contracts. You'll work closely with our hardware, software, and operations teams, and you'll be one of the people customers see in the field representing Voltair.  We expect this role to travel about ~1 week every 2 months.  You’ll be the 7th full time employee of Voltair. On day 1 we’ll begin transitions of all flight testing responsibilities from our CEO to you. Drone manufacturing will follow shortly thereafter. Within 90 days of your arrival, we expect you’ll be deploying our drone for customer contracts. Qualifications & Experiences Required - Has built drones in hobby or professional setting and understands electrical systems on drones - Experience with autopilot firmware (ArduPilot, PX4, or similar) - 1+ years of related professional experience  - Good instincts for airmanship and risk management Nice to Have - Manned aviation experience (private pilot or higher) - Experience running structured flight test plans or test campaigns - FAA Part 107 licensed

Reflex (YC W23) Is hiring Growth and GTM Roles | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Growth Engineer at Reflex | Y Combinator
You will own Reflex's go-to-market motion end-to-end, strategy through execution. We have strong product-market signals (1M+ apps built, 28k+ GitHub stars, Fortune 500 adoption) but no formalized GTM engine. We need someone who has built this before, taken an early-stage startup from unstructured inbound and founder-led sales to a repeatable, scalable pipeline, and can bring that playbook to Reflex. You will: - Engineer Systems to Assist with GTM and Growth - Define and execute Reflex's GTM strategy: segmentation, positioning, channel mix, and pipeline architecture from the ground up - Build the top-of-funnel engine, turning open-source adoption, product usage signals, and community engagement into qualified pipeline - Stand up the systems and processes to support the motion (CRM, enrichment, outbound, lead scoring, routing) and decide what to build vs buy - Partner directly with founders to translate product and community momentum into revenue - Own the metrics: define what we measure, build the reporting, and drive weekly/quarterly forecasting Qualifications - You have experience in Software engineering, Machine Learning, Data Science, or some form of coding. - You have some experience or heavy interested GTM motion at a startup. - You've personally owned top-of-funnel strategy and pipeline creation, not just managed a team doing it - Comfortable operating across strategy and execution. You can set the plan on Monday and get your hands dirty in HubSpot on Tuesday. - Experience selling to or building GTM for a developer-facing or open-source product is a strong plus - Technical fluency. You don't need to write production code, but you should be comfortable with data, product signals, and working directly with engineers. - Bonus: experience with PLG motions, community-led growth, or open-source go-to-market

Truemetrics (YC S23) Is Hiring in Berlin – GTM Lead | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Founding GTM Lead at truemetrics | Y Combinator
The role You work directly with the founders - no layer in between - and you your focus will be to answer the question: what should truemetrics sell next, and how do we sell it. You'll form a point of view, prove it with real customers, and be accountable for turning the answer into something repeatable. That plays out along two paths: Path 1 — Discover the next wedge (the new). Product and market innovation in and around logistics: new products from the data we already own, new use cases for our tech beyond parcel delivery, and where delivery is heading next. You research a space, form a point of view, test it with customers, and help build what works. Path 2 — Run and strengthen the core business (the now). Support ongoing customer projects, onboard new customers, and push truemetrics into new geographies. Get on-site with COOs, ride along with drivers, and crack our hardest question: why better data doesn't always translate into operational impact - and what unlocks the take-off. You won't be handed a playbook - you'll write one. Your first 90 days - By day 30 — immerse. Learn the product cold, ride along with drivers, sit in on customer POCs and sales calls, and map our pipeline and deals. Understand firsthand why better data doesn't always translate into take-off - and start forming your own hypotheses. - By day 60 — get your hands dirty. Take real ownership of a live customer project or a wedge worth investigating, and start pressure-testing where the next chunk of revenue could come from - directly with customers. - By day 90 — bring a bet. Present a validated point of view on what we should sell next and how, with a plan - and be running at least one real thread end to end (a deal, a new geography, or a validated new wedge). What we're really looking for Two things matter more than any specific background: - You originate. You don't just analyze options or wait for direction - you form a point of view, commit to a bet, and drive it. When you see a problem, your instinct is "here's what I'd do," not "here are five things one could consider." - You have real commercial drive. You're energized by the selling and building side - talking to customers, running deals, opening new markets - not just studying them from a distance. You want to be in the arena. Beyond that: - Fast, flexible, and sharp. You context-switch well, get up to speed on a new company or problem quickly, and are comfortable with ambiguity and a half-defined scope. - Comfortable in the real world. You can sit with a COO in the morning and ride along with a driver in the afternoon, and speak both languages. You're drawn to operational reality, not just slides. - Strong communicator and self-starter. High autonomy, low hand-holding. - Based in Berlin with a valid work permit. This is a full-time, on-site role (home-office 1 days/week is normal) working closely with the founders. Who thrives here We're open on background - the two must-haves above matter more than any résumé line. But this role is built for A-players who've done something like this before. People who tend to thrive here are: - Ex-founders who've built and sold, and want to go zero-to-one again without carrying the whole company alone. - GTM or commercial leaders who have personally driven a step-change - taken a product from early traction to real scale, cracked a hard market, or built a motion from scratch. - Top-tier operators who've led a transformation and want a bigger canvas: prior Founders Associate / EiR, ex-consultants who actually owned outcomes, or logistics/operations leaders ready to build rather than run. If you've done the hard version of this before and want to do it again with more ownership and more upside, we want to hear from you.

Roame (YC S23) Is Hiring Lead Engineer | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Lead Full-Stack Engineer at Roame | Y Combinator
Why join Roame now? - Profitable. We run on revenue, not runway. We can start multi year technical work and actually finish it. - Loved product. We're the default tool for a lot of the points and miles community, and our users are vocal about it. - Scope. This is the top engineering role at the company. There is no larger org above it. - AI native. A large share of our engineering is agent assisted and our whole workflow is built around it. About the role - Own engineering at Roame. You would be the most senior engineer here, reporting to the founders. - Set technical direction across our Go backend and web app. We also ship a native iOS app, and every API decision has an iOS client on the other end of it. You need to account for that, not build it. - Finish our move to a modern Go service architecture and retire what's left of the old one. - Own correctness where money moves: booking, checkout, payments. - Set the engineering bar on testing, review, documentation, and hiring. - Grow into the senior most technical role at the company as we scale. How we work - Write it down before building it. Specs and architecture live in the repo. - Test first. Most work starts from a written test plan. - Ship in small increments. Days, not sprints. - Nothing waits until tomorrow if it can go out today. - Disagree out loud, early, to the person. Then pick something and move. - No task is beneath anyone. - Spoon feed yourself, learning is free, generate a video from the code and learn it Your first 90 days - Week 1. Ship something to production. Small is fine. Nobody here spends a week reading code before they touch it. - Day 30. You own a meaningful piece of the booking and checkout path and have shipped a significant update to it. - Day 60. You own the migration plan. Your sequencing, your call on what gets cut. - Day 90. A major piece of our legacy architecture is retired, and you know exactly what it takes to finish off the rest. On AI We use it constantly and we want someone who loves it as much as we do. AI writes great code and it writes bad code, sometimes in the same file. Getting the good version every time is the actual skill, and it's the one we're hiring for. Knowing what to specify up front. Knowing when a human has to stay in the loop. Knowing when to throw the output away instead of patching it. Building the guardrails that make good output the default instead of the lucky case. Our habits around specs and tests exist because they're what make agent assisted work trustworthy at speed. What we're looking for - 4 to 6+ years of engineering experience, post-grad - Confident you're a 10x engineer, and able to tell us why. - Strong in Go and comfortable in TypeScript. Mobile experience isn't required, but you should think in terms of a mobile client when you design an API. - You've owned a system and answered for it when it broke, you understand resilience - You've finished a hard migration, not just started one. - You've shipped code that moved real money. - Opinions about how engineering teams should run that stuck somewhere before. - You want to lead without giving up writing code. - You understand distributed engineering - You understand that this is a living, breathing system; hours keep it moving; this isn’t a 40 hours a week job Probably not a fit - You want every day to be greenfield. This is a three year old codebase with real debt. - You'd rewrite before you understand. - You need priorities handed to you. - You cannot distinguish between slop and non-slop. - You're comfortable letting something sit until next sprint. - You bite off more than you can chew; unable to strategically land impact and releases. - You have a general disinterest for travel - You’re easily frustrated by hard problems Technology Go, TypeScript, React, Next.js, Postgres, Protobuf. Swift on iOS, which you won't be expected to write. $175-250k base depending on experience and location in the US 0.5%-2% equity

SalesPatriot (YC W25) Is Hiring FDEs | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Forward Deployed Engineer at SalesPatriot | Y Combinator
The Mission America's industrial base runs on systems built in the 1980s. Billions of dollars in critical components (F-35 parts, industrial assemblies, electronics, bolts, and hoses) still move through email threads, excel sheets, and disconnected ERPs. We're replacing that with an AI-native platform that makes aerospace, electronics, industrial, and defense supply-chain operations nearly autonomous. Faster quoting. Faster procurement. Full visibility. Real operational intelligence for the companies our nation depends on.  Quick Facts - YC W25 company. Top 5% growth in batch - Raised $10M+ from investors including Paul Graham, SV Angel, Pear VC, and CRV - Team of 20 co-live in our Warsaw & SF Hacker Houses - 7 figure ARR transacting ~$50M a week through our system The Job 1. Go. Fly out and plant yourself inside the customer's operation. Weekdays are onsite (Wisconsin, New York, Miami, Los Angeles); weekends we regroup at the SF HQ to debrief and keep building. 2. Understand. Map how the company actually operates, from sales and supply chain teams to executives and CEOs. Learn the breakpoints choking their growth and speed. 3. Implement. Configure automations within SP Studio tooling so the platform accurately reflects the customer's needs. Build trust and confidence in SalesPatriot. 4. Iterate. Take full ownership of the customer's outcome. Keep finding and killing their most pressing problems, leading org-wide scaling, until SalesPatriot is the operating system their business runs on. What We’re Looking For - Ready to relocate full-time to San Francisco. This is not a remote role. - Absolute grinder.

PgDog (YC P25) Is Hiring | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Founding Software Engineer at PgDog | Y Combinator
Hey! PgDog is a tiny database startup, based out of SF, with a global team. We’re scaling the world’s most popular database, PostgreSQL. PgDog is in production, used by dozens of companies, large and small. The problem is big, but so is the opportunity, and we’re hiring! About the role The jack of all trades. Rust, Postgres, a bit of infrastructure, networking, distributed systems, and so much more. You’ll build features that will go directly into our customers hands, the day you ship them. With great power comes great responsibility. You’re meticulous, detail-oriented and are not afraid to take calculated risks. You write tests because you want to make sure the thing works, not to check a box. You’re not afraid to run code in production, on real data; after all, that’s the only way to know something really works. Also, pretty important these days: you don’t let AI do the thinking for you; you’re comfortable with and without it. First week You’ll fix a bug or ship a cool feature. We’ll give it to one of our users or customers to try right away. First month You’ll get acquainted with pretty much all of our code. You’ll start coming up with your own bug fixes and features. Three months later You’re designing our roadmap. You’re contributing to everything we’re doing: coding, talking with customers, and even finding us more! Things we badly want to build: 1. Advanced OLAP query engine. People don’t like to rewrite their queries, so let’s make them just work with sharded Postgres! If you’re wondering how much work that is, check out the Postgres SQL reference. All of it has to work! 2. In-place data redistribution: let’s make Postgres scale like Cassandra/Elastic. Having the ability to dynamically shard would be super cool and make it a push-button op. If any of this sounds super hard…well, that’s because it is, but only on the surface. We’re splitting this up into small, achievable tasks, and shipping them straight to prod! Day to day Mostly digging through the Postgres manual and building a distributed database, from scratch, using first principles (and as many Wikipedia articles as you need). Everything is written in Rust, so that makes it easier. Type-safe, “fearless concurrency”, and an awesome open source ecosystem where you can find pretty much any library we’ll need… and if you can’t, you can build your own and contribute it back to the world. Time split is going to be something like 30% bug fixes, 60% new features, 10% infra glue. The backstory I did this at Instacart back in 2020. Grew the company 5x in a few months, just by making Postgres do things it wasn’t built for. If you make the database you already have just work, people love it; nobody wants to migrate to Dynamo. I’ve been coding in Rust for close to 10 years, even wrote my own web framework for fun. PgDog started as “something to do” while I was unemployed; one year later, it’s mission-critical infra for some pretty serious people, so that’s cool. Compensation - 150k-225k / year - 1-3% equity Perks - Health & dental, fully covered - Unlimited PTO - If you’re in SF Bay Area: coffee, dinner, hikes, bike rides, etc.; I’m always down to hang out! We can also walk my giant 90 pound dog (and now you know where the name “PgDog” comes from).

Manufact (YC S25) Is Hiring a Senior infra engineer to build the MCP cloud | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Manufact | Y Combinator
About us Manufact is Vercel for MCP. We are building the MCP cloud platform to get any product ready for Claude Connectors marketplace, ChatGPT App Store and any AI agent that supports MCP. Manufact Cloud usage is more than doubling every month. We're the team behind mcp-use SDK (next.js for MCP), the open-source framework for building MCP Apps with 10k Github stars and 8M+ downloads across python and typescript. Used by 20% of US 500 like NASA, SAP, NVIDIA and more than 5,000 companies. We raised $6.3M seed in 4 days before YC demo day. Our lead investor is PeakXV (best dev-tools VC out there), and we have the best angels, including the founders of Supabase. Our focus: capture a significant share of global AI tool calls that flow through Manufact. What you'll do - Build the cloud platform that hosts customer MCP servers with millions of tool calls. - Set up monitoring, observability, and dashboards across every MCP server on Manufact Cloud and the full stream of events and logs we ingest, so problems surface before users feel them. - Build alerting and error handling that flags threshold breaches and failures in real time. - Make sure the platform scales as we add thousands of users and capture a growing share of global AI tool calls. - Create the tooling and technical blueprints that let customers deploy Manufact into their own private clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) on their own terms. - Build the security boundaries that keep each customer's data private and isolated within their own environment. - Own where our code lives and how it ships: code hosting and the release pipeline. - Keep the system fast and reliable as companies add more MCP servers. Requirements - You have built and operated cloud systems end-to-end and know them inside out. - Experience standing up the observability stack that keeps a cloud healthy: logs, metrics, traces, dashboards, and alerting at scale. - Kubernetes or Terraform, and containerized multi-tenant systems. - Comfortable being the first person to own infrastructure at a fast-growing startup. - Based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco. Nice to have - Hands-on with observability tooling such as ClickHouse, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, Grafana. - Experience running a platform that others deploy onto (PaaS-flavored).

Sixtyfour (YC P25) Is Hiring | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Operations Associate – Data Samples & Customer Success at Sixtyfour | Y Combinator
Sixtyfour is a data enrichment platform that lets companies generate powerful, custom datasets at scale. Our customers—recruitment firms, data labeling companies, and growth teams—use our platform to source, qualify, and enrich prospect and candidate data that powers their pipelines. To close deals, we show prospects the quality of datasets they can build with us by creating tailored samples—and that’s where this role comes in. Our customers come to us because they want high-quality, enriched datasets—and they need help getting there. You’ll be the person who makes that happen: proactively using our platform to show customers what’s possible, ensuring they can use it to get the results they need, and responding to requests in Slack and email. Creating data samples isn’t a separate function from support—it is the support. You’re guiding customers to success before they even have to ask. This is an in-person role embedded with our sales and growth team. What You’ll Do - Proactively use the SixtyFour platform to curate data samples that show customers what’s possible—ensuring they understand how to get the results they need from the platform themselves. - Review every sample for accuracy, completeness, and deduplication before it reaches the customer. Zero errors. - Manage 7–10+ concurrent requests from prospects and customers, staying organized across Slack channels, email, and CRM. - Be the first responder in shared Slack channels—answering questions, triaging issues, fulfilling data requests, and proactively surfacing ways customers can get better results. - Track customer engagement and flag accounts that need attention or are at risk of churn. - Coordinate with engineering on bugs and product issues, translating customer feedback into clear, actionable context. - Join daily standups and CRM syncs to keep the team aligned on customer status and request pipelines. Who You Are - Self-starter with a growth-oriented mindset—you take initiative, move fast, and thrive in ambiguous, rapidly changing environments. - Timely and put together—you show up prepared, meet deadlines, and hold yourself to a high professional standard. - Detail-oriented and comfortable working with spreadsheets, CSVs, CRMs, and data tools. - Strong written communicator who can manage multiple Slack and email threads simultaneously.

Moss (YC F25) Is Hiring | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Software Engineer - SDK at Moss | Y Combinator
We built Moss because Voice AI breaks when retrieval is slow. Most retrieval infrastructure was not built for real-time reasoning. It adds latency, breaks context mid-conversation, and becomes the bottleneck just as an AI product needs to feel instant. Moss is the real-time semantic search layer for conversational AI. We deliver sub-10ms retrieval directly in the browser, at the edge, on-device, or in the cloud, without making teams stitch together a slow retrieval stack. We are backed by YC and run in production for teams building serious AI products. Moss is deployed across 100+ countries, serves 5M+ of real-time voice minutes, supports enterprises serving 3000+ of their own end customers, and has 380K+ package installs. The SDKs are how every one of those developers meets Moss. They are the first thing a team touches, the surface that has to feel instant on every platform, and the layer where our Rust engine becomes real code running inside someone else's product. We are looking for a Senior or Staff SDK Engineer to own how Moss ships across every developer surface: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Swift, Android, Elixir, C, and the Rust core they all bind to. This is not a greenfield role. You will work on live SDKs that customers depend on in production from day one: shrinking bundle size, lowering cold-start and query latency, tightening cross-platform parity, improving developer ergonomics, and making integration effortless across browsers, servers, mobile devices, edge runtimes, and embedded environments. When milliseconds and correctness are both part of the product, and your code runs inside someone else's application, your work defines whether teams trust Moss. What you'll do - Own the architecture and evolution of Moss SDKs across multiple programming languages and platforms. - Design and maintain safe, ergonomic bindings around our Rust core. - Build and improve FFI layers, packaging systems, release pipelines, versioning strategies, and developer tooling. - Ensure consistent APIs and behavior across all supported SDKs while respecting platform-specific constraints. - Push performance boundaries across memory usage, startup latency, binary size, and runtime efficiency. - Work directly with customers to debug production issues across diverse environments and operating systems. - Establish engineering standards for testing, compatibility, benchmarking, observability, and long-term maintainability. - Help shape how developers experience Moss from the first npm install to production deployment. What we're looking for - Deep systems engineering experience with strong fundamentals in performance, memory management, concurrency, and low-level debugging. - Significant experience in Rust and building production systems that interface with multiple programming languages. - Proven track record shipping SDKs, libraries, runtimes, databases, or developer infrastructure at massive scale. - Experience building products that have run on hundreds of millions to billions of devices, users, or installations. - Comfortable moving across language ecosystems and technology stacks without being constrained to a single environment. - Strong understanding of FFI, language bindings, package distribution, build systems, and cross-platform development. - Experience with one or more of: JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Swift, Kotlin/Android, C/C++, Elixir, or other systems languages. - Ability to operate with high ownership in ambiguous environments and make pragmatic engineering tradeoffs. Bonus points - Experience building mobile SDKs or embedded/on-device AI infrastructure. - Experience with WebAssembly, native mobile runtimes, edge environments, or browser internals. - Background in search, databases, AI infrastructure, compilers, or developer tooling. - Experience maintaining highly adopted open-source libraries or SDKs. - Prior experience as a Staff+ engineer responsible for platform or SDK strategy across an organization. What success looks like In your first 30 days - Develop a deep understanding of Moss's architecture, retrieval engine, and SDK ecosystem. - Become familiar with our Rust core, FFI boundaries, release pipelines, and supported platforms. - Ship your first production improvements to one or more SDKs. - Work directly with customers and internal teams to understand integration pain points and performance bottlenecks. In your first 60 days - Own one or more SDK surfaces end-to-end. - Improve developer experience, reliability, or performance in meaningful ways, such as reducing startup latency, binary size, or integration complexity. - Propose and begin executing on a roadmap for cross-platform consistency and SDK architecture improvements. - Establish stronger standards around testing, compatibility, benchmarking, and release engineering. In your first 90 days - Become a technical owner for major portions of Moss's developer platform. - Drive strategic initiatives around SDK architecture, cross-language bindings, packaging, and developer tooling. - Deliver improvements that materially impact adoption, reliability, and production performance. - Help define how Moss reaches browsers, servers, mobile devices, edge environments, and eventually billions of devices. - Raise the engineering bar across systems design, developer experience, and operational excellence. Why this role matters Moss is becoming infrastructure that sits directly in the critical path of real-time AI systems. Every millisecond matters. Every platform matters. The SDK layer is what turns our retrieval engine into something developers can trust and deploy everywhere. You will not be maintaining wrappers around APIs. You will be defining how real-time retrieval infrastructure reaches millions of applications and, eventually, billions of devices.

Laylo (YC S20) Is Hiring a Head of Finance | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Head of Finance at Laylo | Y Combinator
The Story Our founders, Alec and Sajan, started Laylo after watching the music industry get strip-mined by platforms that owned the fan relationship and rented it back to artists. We're building the infrastructure for the next generation of entertainment: a direct messaging and CRM layer that lets creators own their audience, drop products to them, and drive real revenue without paying a middleman tax. Laylo is the drop CRM powering some of the biggest names in music, live events, and entertainment. We replace the patchwork of email, SMS, presave, and tour announcement tools with one platform that lets creators message their fans directly and drive real revenue. Over 10,000 creators use Laylo to drop more than $1B in tickets, merch, and music to millions of fans, including artists like Zach Bryan and Sabrina Carpenter and festivals like Outside Lands. We're a 24-person team based around the world. We went through Y Combinator (S20) and are backed by Eldridge, Sony, and other top-tier investors. The Role You'll be our first dedicated finance hire. You won't be inheriting a team or a playbook. You'll be building the financial infrastructure of a profitable, fast-growing SaaS company from scratch, reporting directly to the CEO. This role is equal parts operational and strategic. On any given day, you might be modeling the unit economics of a new pricing tier, renegotiating a vendor contract, pressure-testing our hiring plan against runway, or building the framework that tells us whether a $40K SaaS tool is actually earning its keep. Almost every major decision we make has a financial dimension, and you'll be in the room for all of them. If you get excited about being the single source of truth for a company's financial health, and you want to do it at a company where the product actually matters and we work with the artists you listen to, this is the role. What You'll Do - Be a strategic partner to the CEO and department heads on budgets, headcount planning, vendor negotiation, and unit economics. Not a reporter of numbers. A thought partner who happens to know where the money is. - Lead budgeting and planning cycles. Work with team leads to set budgets, track actuals, and flag variances before they become problems. - Drive pricing strategy and analysis across our subscription tiers and our AI Agents product (which uses hybrid pricing: $1 + 3% of cart value on successful recoveries). Build the unit economics framework that lets us scale this confidently. - Audit and optimize our cost structure across headcount, software, infrastructure, and vendor contracts. Know where every dollar goes and whether it's earning its keep. - Own all financial operations: bookkeeping (we use Pilot, you own the layer above), AP/AR, payroll coordination, expense management, and monthly close. - Build and maintain our financial model, including revenue forecasting, cash flow projections, and scenario planning. - Prepare monthly financial reports and investor materials that tell the real story, not just the numbers. - Build the financial systems and processes that scale with us. Infrastructure that works at 2x and 10x our current size. - Handle tax compliance, audit prep, and relationships with external accountants and tax advisors. - Be ready to lead fundraising or M&A workstreams (data rooms, diligence, cap table management) if and when we decide to. What Makes You Great for This Role Must haves: - 5+ years in finance roles, with meaningful time at a venture-backed startup (ideally Seed through Series B). - You've been the primary or sole finance person before. You know what it means to own everything from AP to board decks. - Strong financial modeling skills. You can build a model from scratch, not just maintain one someone else built. - Deep understanding of SaaS metrics: ARR, net revenue retention, gross retention, LTV/CAC, gross margin, magic number, burn multiple, Rule of 40. You think in these terms naturally. - Experience as a strategic partner to department heads on budgets, headcount planning, and unit economics. You've built budget processes from scratch and held team leads accountable to them without becoming the budget police. - Track record of meaningful vendor renegotiation and spend optimization. You can name specific wins. - You're comfortable saying "I don't have enough data yet, here's my best estimate and what would change my mind." Nice to haves: - Experience at a profitable or capital-efficient company. Most SaaS finance people only know the burn-and-grow playbook. - Experience at a company in the creator economy, music, or entertainment space. - Familiarity with the cost structure of messaging platforms (SMS/MMS costs, infrastructure scaling). - Direct experience with hybrid or usage-based pricing models for B2B SaaS. - Experience with fundraising mechanics: SAFEs, convertible notes, priced rounds, cap table management, 409A valuations. - CPA or equivalent, though we care more about what you've built than what credentials you hold. - Experience with tools like QuickBooks, Ramp, Carta, Mosaic, Pry, Runway, or similar modern FP&A platforms. Example Projects - Pricing overhaul: Analyze our current pricing tiers against usage data, COGS, and competitive positioning. Recommend and model changes that improve gross margin without hurting conversion. Build the unit economics framework for our AI Agents product as it scales. - Vendor audit: Audit every recurring software and infrastructure cost across the company. Identify redundancies, renegotiate contracts, build the renewal calendar, and create a framework for evaluating new spend. - Hiring plan: Model the financial impact of our hiring roadmap. Help leadership understand the tradeoffs between speed of hiring, gross margin, and capital efficiency. Build the headcount-to-revenue logic that holds across multiple scenarios. Growth path This role is a Head of Finance position with a clear path to VP Finance and CFO as the company scales. If you execute, you grow with the business. We'd rather invest in someone who wants to be here at $30M ARR and $60M ARR than hire a senior person to replace you.

Wildcard (YC W25) Is Hiring a Founding Engineer | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Founding Engineer at Wildcard | Y Combinator
About Wildcard Wildcard is the agentic commerce optimization platform for ecommerce and retail brands. We help brands understand, improve, and monetize how their products show up across AI shopping agents. We’re building the mission control for agentic commerce: visibility (AEO & GEO), recommendations, execution, attribution, and automation in one platform. As shopping shifts from traditional search to AI agents, brands need to know where they appear, why competitors are winning, what to change, and whether those changes drive real business outcomes. We’re growing 50% month over month. Who you’ll work with You’ll work directly with me, Kaushik Mahorker, founder of Wildcard. Previously at Scale AI, I built the ecommerce enrichment engine behind the company’s largest pilot across 400K SKUs, 2.8M attributes, and hundreds of taxonomies, helping secure $15M+ in contracts with major retailers and marketplaces. That experience made something clear: shopping discovery is being rebuilt for an AI-first world, and most brands are not prepared for the shift. The role We’re looking for a Founding Engineer to help shape both the product and the company from the earliest stage. This is engineer number one. You are not joining an engineering team. You are helping build one. This role is for someone who can own product and infrastructure end to end: frontend, backend, queues, browser automation, reliability, customer-facing features, and the systems that let us move fast. You’ll work directly with customers, own critical product decisions, and help decide what gets built, how it gets built, and what we prioritize as the market evolves. We are looking for someone high-agency, fast-moving, and expert-level with AI coding tools. You should use AI to move significantly faster, but not outsource your judgment to it. This market is moving fast. AI shopping agents, agentic commerce protocols, and consumer behavior are all changing in real time. The ambiguity is the opportunity. Week 0 projects You may work on: - Scaling browser orchestration and retrieval infrastructure across AI commerce surfaces - Making core workflows reliable with queues, retries, observability, and workflow orchestration - Building incrementality and attribution systems tied to revenue outcomes for ecommerce brands - Adapting the product to emerging agentic commerce protocols and platform launches - Building agents, MCP servers, and new product surfaces across emerging verticals - Migrating scrappy early systems into scalable product infrastructure without slowing down execution - Shipping customer-driven features quickly while making the right tradeoffs between speed and quality We’re looking for someone who - Has prior founding experience, or was early at a Seed, Series A, Series B, or similarly fast-moving company - Has strong full-stack experience and can ship independently across the stack - Is high-agency, self-directed, and able to turn ambiguity into shipped product - Is expert-level with AI coding tools and uses them to move significantly faster - Has strong judgment on when to use AI and when not to - Moves fast, focuses on outcomes, and knows how to do more with less - Brings new ideas constantly and can prioritize at a granular level - Is resilient through changing priorities, new information, and mini-pivots - Gets excited by ownership, ambiguity, and wearing multiple hats - Wants to work in tight feedback loops with customers - Has high schlep tolerance and is willing to do unglamorous work when it moves the business forward - Can push back, think independently, and still move quickly Preferred experience - TypeScript, Node.js, Express, React - Postgres, Redis, queues, and async job systems - Browser automation, scraping, or retrieval infrastructure - Reliable production systems with retries, observability, and workflow orchestration - AI agents, including context management, orchestration, tool use, and evals - MCP servers, internal developer tools, or workflow products - Ecommerce, retail infrastructure, search, attribution, or analytics systems - Building codebases and products that work well with agents Why join Most engineers do not get to meaningfully influence whether a company succeeds. This role is different. You’ll have direct influence over the product, architecture, customers, engineering culture, and company direction from day one. You’ll be able to point to decisions you made and systems you built as part of the reason why.

CollectWise (YC F24) Is Hiring | Discussion
ycombinator.com
Founding Account Executive at CollectWise | Y Combinator
About Us CollectWise is a fast growing and well funded Y Combinator-backed startup. We’re using generative AI to automate debt collection, a $35B market in the US alone. Our AI agents are already outperforming human collectors by 2X, and we’re doing so at a fraction of the cost. With a team of five, we scaled to a $2 million annualized run rate in just a few months, and we are now hiring a Founding Account Executive to help us reach $10 million within the next year. Why Now For the past year, our founder has personally run every single sales call—hundreds of them. We’ve closed millions of dollars in revenue, and demand has remained overwhelming throughout. This is not a sales problem. It is a capacity problem. We are now ready to bring on a Founding Account Executive to help us catch up and scale forward to $10M ARR. What You’ll Do - Own the full sales funnel from first touch through close - Run a high volume of demos and sales calls with qualified prospects while still building significant pipeline yourself - Consistently exceed quota and close large, high-ACV deals with a strong command of value-based, consultative selling - Attend conferences, trade shows, and industry events to generate leads, build relationships, and create pipeline - Manage the sales process end-to-end, including lead generation, follow-ups, demos, stakeholder coordination, objection handling, and closing - Generate pipeline through outbound prospecting, relationship-building, email outreach, and creative hunting - Lead compelling, high-conviction product demos that clearly communicate ROI and move buyers toward close - Work directly with the founder to refine messaging, positioning, pricing, and demo flow so we can build a repeatable sales process as quickly as possible - Navigate complex sales cycles across multiple stakeholders, including executives, operators, legal, compliance, and procurement, while helping drive implementations and escalations to get customers live. Who You Are - 3+ years of experience as a front-line seller in enterprise or complex B2B sales - You have closed millions of dollars in deals and ideally $5M+ in ARR at a SaaS, fintech, or AI company in an adjacent industry - A proven track record of consistently exceeding quota, not just hitting it - You have helped scale a company from roughly $1M or less in revenue to $10M or more - You have experience selling at a startup or in a similarly high-growth environment - You can run 8 to 12 demos a day without losing energy or sharpness - You can build pipelines and expand GTM strategies. You want to build the playbook, not just follow one - You are strong at consultative, ROI-driven selling and know how to sell outcomes, not just features - You are ready to work hard because you are ambitious, hungry, and want to win Bonus Points If You - Have experience selling in the ARM or debt collection industry - Have experience selling into collection agencies, financial institutions, BPOs, or health systems - Have built and scaled an end-to-end enterprise sales motion - Have generated meaningful pipeline through conferences, events, and relationship-driven selling What You Get - A chance to be a foundational sales hire at a fast-growing AI company - High commission upside for a top performer - Direct access to leadership and real influence over the company’s sales motion and growth - Meaningful equity with real upside - $300,000 to $375,000 OTE

ycombinator.com
Founding Product Engineer at Proliferate | Y Combinator
About Proliferate Proliferate is the open, harness-agnostic platform for running coding agents- Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, whatever comes next- in parallel, locally and in the cloud. We think the next decade of software gets built by engineers directing fleets of agents, and that layer shouldn't belong to any one model vendor. We're building it. We're backed by True Ventures, Pear VC, and 50+ YC founders, with plenty of money to keep building through rough patches. We work in person in SoMa, San Francisco. About me, the founder I'm Pablo. I finished my master's in AI at 19, joined Onyx (YC W24) as engineer #1, spent a year building enterprise AI search, then started Proliferate. You'd be hire #1- we'd work side by side every day, and there is a lot of room to grow. How we work - We ship unusually fast - Tiny team, absurd ownership: you will build core pieces of product end to end. - We take health extremely seriously: company-expensed Whoop, wellness stipend, all meals covered, top-tier insurance- and a culture that treats sleep, training, and building a good life as tenets of a good company culture. Example work - Build a new core workflow end to end across agent runtime, product UI, and cloud infrastructure. - Design a new interface for human-agent collaboration made possible by a model capability that landed last week (or earlier today). - Turn a rough customer pain point into a polished product surface in days. - Re-think how engineering teams review, redirect, and trust agent work before merge. You might be a great fit if - You've shipped products 0→1 and have strong opinions about software - You use AI tools conscientiously- and have real takes about where they fail - You want a role unusually dense in learning, ownership, and pace - You care deeply about what you build and who you build it with Things we DON'T care much about - Experience with our stack (TypeScript, React, Rust, Postgres, AWS- you'll pick it up) - AI/ML research background- we're looking for excellent software engineers - Years of experience. New grads welcome; the work trial is the resume. Compensation For exceptional people, we're happy to be exceptional- especially on equity. Interview process 1. 15-minute call with Pablo 2. 30-minute technical conversation with a codebase open on your end 3. Paid work trial- 1-3 days, $1-3K 4. References + offer

The role We’re looking for a Founding Applied ML Engineer to help shape both the product and the company from the earliest stage. This is engineer number one. You are not joining an engineering team. You are helping build one. The ideal person is strong enough to own product engineering across the stack, but also has the applied ML judgment to build reliable AI systems, ranking systems, evals, attribution models, agents, and automation loops that customers can actually trust. This is not a pure research role. It is not a pure analytics role. It is not a narrow full-stack role either. We need a builder who can move between product, infrastructure, applied ML, data, and customer problems without waiting for someone else to define the lane. You’ll work directly with customers, own product and infrastructure, and help decide what gets built, how it gets built, and what we prioritize as the market evolves. The work is fast-paced, practical, and tied directly to company priorities. You will not spend months optimizing one narrow model in isolation. This is a rare applied ML role where the work goes from messy data to production product to customer impact quickly. You’ll help decide what gets built, ship it end to end, and see whether it actually changes business outcomes. You’ll be able to point to the models, systems, and product decisions you made as part of the reason why we win.
