Why is my Google Pixel advertising Harry Potter audiobooks? (rhetorical, posing an observation as a question)

I've been looking forward to this one.

That's right, if you operate in other countries you follow their laws. Some countries have laws to help protect culture which also provides jobs for artists. I am sick of these large brands not wanting to follow laws but enter the markets to make money. Good on you HBOMax variety.com/2026/tv/glob...

I cannot remember the last time I got a 3 disc BluRay, with 1 disc just for Bonus Features and accompanied by an extensive booklet. It's pretty awesome.

I'm watching the Director's Cut, there seems to be some issues with the transfer/compression, I'm noticing artifacts when there is a fast pan, but otherwise it's great.

I haven't seen The Odyssey but I am re-watching The Director's Cut of Troy.

Frozen 2 is a great movie. I really do love Frozen 2.

I am tagging so they see this. I understand this is adding to the online presence of the marketing, but I want them to know they are missing out on my dollars, because of the AI marketing thing they did.

010

Whitney Strouth @whitneystrouth.bsky.social · 09/08/2026

I was planning on going to the theatre to watch #TheEndOfOakStreet later this month but the fact they blatantly used AI in their marketing like that, I will be passing.

I am so not down for the direction this franchise is taking. They will most likely be loosing me and my dollar bucks pretty quickly if they continue on the direction it looks like they are taking. Like dear lord, where ARE THE WOMEN, you know THE OTHER HALF OF THE POPULATION?!?!

000

Whitney Strouth @whitneystrouth.bsky.social · 27/07/2026

Doomsday looks like it is forgetting about all the newly amassed fans they were trying to get to keep the franchise going and is catering to the angry internet people. Doomsday looks like it will be recycling everything that has worked before and not trying anything new as they had been.

I watched the majority of the Marvel movies during covid. I became a fan w/ WandaVision, Loki, Hawkeye, Ms Marvel and Agatha All Along. I saw The Marvels, Brave New World, Thunderbolts & First Steps in the theatre.

Whitney Strouth @whitneystrouth.bsky.social · 18/07/2026

I hate how I wait a couple weeks and the movie I want to see is not in the theatre. It has been released less than a month!

000

Whitney Strouth @whitneystrouth.bsky.social · 13/07/2026

I am going out of order with my X-Men rewatch, I chose to skip to this one because I am seeing a lot of Avengers Doomsday discourse on socials at the moment and I just want to say how GIDDY and EXCITED I got when I saw this movie with Jean and Scott together at the end.

I got another Millennial adult meal with toy today. It was also my first time at Dave's Hot Chicken, mild-lite slider was great! I got Wolverine, if anyone wants to trade for a Jean or a Storm hit me up! #XMen97

Sometimes when I use my Ultimate because I panic it really does work out really good, even if I am fully unaware of what is going on around me. I fully understand this is not the lesson I should take from this, I am trying to get better "game sense." #MarvelRivals youtu.be/djMDBjqrTQQ

Well I didn't end with a 100% win rate on competitive this season in #MarvelRivals , I ended up losing 2 out of 10. And it is super interesting the two games I lost were with the same person and they were quite mouthy. Coincidence?

010

Whitney Strouth @whitneystrouth.bsky.social · 30/06/2026

I made it to season 4 of my ER rewatch and I really do not enjoy the character of Lucy. Nothing against the actress. I really don't enjoy the "follow the med student" stories, plus knowing what happens to her doesn't help.

000

Whitney Strouth @whitneystrouth.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

The group of people that seem to show up to play #MarvelRivals on the weekend are absolutely horrible people, no respect for others and definitely not there to just have fun playing a silly video game. I do not go near Competitive on the weekends I am going to give up Quick Play now as well.

000

Whitney Strouth @whitneystrouth.bsky.social · 24/06/2026

Not sure when this win rate in competitive will happen again! I have been lucky so far this season with teams of good vibe people and no one banning Peni, yet. #MarvelRivals

My hopes are low they will go into the animation and motion-work in post production but still super excited there is substantial features!

Whitney Strouth @whitneystrouth.bsky.social · 24/05/2026

Rewatched #AvatarFireAndAsh yesterday (I really liked this movie) and started the Bonus Features disc and colour me excited, there is a TWO hour and FIFTY-FIVE minute making of documentary!

Can we be done with (this type of) AI now please? Has it not been proven over and over how pointless it is? #AubreyPlaza

A great or the most egregious example of what I mean would be the Avatar Cirque du Soleil. Why would I need a close up of the performers face and not the actual performance?

000

Whitney Strouth @whitneystrouth.bsky.social · 23/05/2026

I am watching the Lady Gaga concert on Apple TV plus and I wish the directors or editors of live performances, (I'm unsure who's decision is comes down to,) but I wish they would do way more longer and wider shots. I am not a fan of the constant quick closeup cuts to things/people.

Why did Disney never adapt their stage version of AIDA into a movie or a tv special?

I am getting real frustrated with being saddled with players leaving during the game or players not doing enough damage during the boss fights when I FINALLY get put into a match at the level I request. Don't get me started on the gear farmers. #MarvelRivals

In the last 12ish hours or so on the Marvel Collect trading card app I traded for 2 Epic and 1 Legendary Agatha Harkness! I have been trying for just 1 Epic for weeks. When it rains it pours, I guess. Anyways, I now can retire, I have all I ever wanted!

Of course when I speak with an usher, tell him my seating zone, he walks away and then, he looks at the older man standing near me of another party and escorts his party.

Rewatching season 1 of ER and Susan really was my favourite, and I always did ship her with Mark. I don't remember her full character arc but I remember being disappointed.

000

Whitney Strouth @whitneystrouth.bsky.social · 17/04/2026

I've been rewatching ER and I am mid season 1, at the 'Susan lacking confidence' storyline and you know, I really don't like it.

I am still not over how Aquaman 2 was edited. I waited years for that movie and I love that comic book character, what a waste. Recasting would have been preferable to what we got!
