I don't think the location of the rallies in deep red locations is a sign they're reacting to being in trouble in those areas. I think that's just what he always does - goes where he's got the best odds of an adoring crowd. He'd never pick a smaller room to get an advantage for an ally.

Man was it only two episodes worth? It annoyed me so much it feels in retrospect like it was the whole short season. It would have been less a betrayal of five seasons of character development to have him fall in love with Jinks.

I'm still mad about that one character pivot in the last season of Warehouse 13 but it was otherwise a great show. I'd nominate Grimm for this list.

I believe in the rightness of it, I just find myself skeptical that people willing to demand sex acts wouldn't be just as criminal about vote-by-mail ballots. To me that's why they should have an actual polling place but I have no faith in legislators going that far.

I'm not normally a person who thinks the worry of coercion justifies limiting vote by mail but it does give me a little pause here, given the prevalence of abuse and limited accountability in prisons.

I don't think we have to excuse bad behavior just because its a maladaptive coping technique for real problems. I can be reasonably anxious about the state of the world surrounding me without it making it okay for me to drag others down.

I think a lot of this is folks who are coping with a scary world by embracing just world fallacy. It's less about seeing burdens than seeing it as a defense against bad things happening to her unexpectedly. If she just Chooses Right then the bad things won't happen to her.
