Decades of tragic NHS scandals prove our health service needs accountability at the heart of its DNA. Labour’s Health Bill guts hard-won safety measures and lets the NHS mark its own homework. Andy Burnham must urgently put an end to this.

Lib Dems get on with the job to deliver to the communities that they’ve been elected to serve. Reform sow division and their councils are in chaos. Labour are fighting amongst themselves. The Tories are in decline and are led by Kemi Badenoch who thinks they still run councils lost to the Lib Dems

Coming to a council near you if your authority goes Reform. 10 miles per day is a long distance for an 8-year-old. It's like walking from the centre of Solihull to Hockley Heath and back. On top of that is the dark evenings. Parents will be very concerned with this. Absolute madness.

If this government was really serious about growth, it would start negotiating a new UK-EU trade deal with a bespoke customs union at its heart. This is the single biggest lever ministers could pull to turbocharge our economy. The refusal of the Chancellor to even consider is worrying.
