Thanks for playing! And thanks for telling me about the controls - apologies! I ultimately mapped controller jump to shoulder buttons (4 & 6 ), but the up arrow key not jumping? Oh no! I found the issue with the latter soon after reading that. I'll build and upload a version 1.002 with it fixed.

I made a parody game based on the work reposted. and @mellymellouange.bsky.social's characters. It's a platformer called "Bubbles are Fun" in the link here: drive.google.com/file/d/19RdX... This executable should work for Windows and Linux.

Yeah! At minimum, even in uncertainty, optimism keeps one facilitating good outcomes and become more knowledgable on outcomes as they keep facilitating steps towards it. It's often called naive, but the majority of the time, it it's quite the opposite IMHO. And even when it is, who does it hurt?

Being wisely realistic requires eliminating mystery and chance - discerning context - which can't be done by tallying observed experiences alone. It takes an intimate understanding of a matter, not just mere incidents, or judgement will be generalised and brash. (4/5)

Pessimism has expectations of a negative outcome from a mysterious chance. If arrogant, it's dismissive and sometimes calls itself, "being realistic" when it's still mere chance, or can be based on a shallow sample of 'known experience', rather than 'discernment of contexts'. (2/5)

Optimism has expectations of a positive outcome on a mysterious chance. Can sometimes be naive, but isn't inherently naive. However, it's far better to have a hope that's certain, from a chance given context. (1/5)

Funnily enough, the Diamond&Pearl games have fancy clothes too. They're provided by the player's mother (who's possibly the toughest opponent in Masters Contests) for contests. Fantina appears in the Masters Contests too as...one of the easiest there. Wearing fancy clothes with Fantina is canon!

Such may have never made such mistakes themselves, yet can still empathise with them. They're more equipped to facilitate against (and correct) such mistakes 'because' they can empathise with them. One can have an arrogant peer who would only lament, judge and confine them to the mistake. (2/2)

Sudden analogy! One can have a good teacher, who can empathise with student's mistakes, yet can clearly tell them how they're wrong, where the misinterpretation lay, and can guide them on avoiding those mistakes. Or discern bad intentions and challenge/put their foot down on them. (1/2)

To...all sorts of other reasons people can be just plain bitter, and fail to reciprocate joy. (These are extremes, but still...) Thankfully, being able to see through it makes it less horrible to deal with accordingly... But it's still horrible to encounter, both in regards to others, and oneself.
