much respect to the multiple crew members that were Damon Albarn's dedicated mic cable wranglers, the madman went almost all the way out to our section at half court during 19-2000 and did it again on the other side of the arena during Andromeda and managed to keep his wired mic the entire time

Little Simz (opening for Gorillaz): Blown away by this set, she absolutely blew the doors off an hour before Gorillaz even took the stage. Will definetly be checking out more of her music.

Deltron 3030 (opening for Gorillaz): Tight, all killer no filler 20 minute set. They medleyed a bunch of the classics from the first album and played a new track. Excited for the new album next year

That's gonna be Buffy's specialty going forward, they manage to find clever ways to have episodes still be mostly standalone but move forward or acknowledge some overarching plot thread in some way

Season 2 is so funny because like half of it is the show taking a big step forward and getting For Real and the other half are terrible leftover scripts from season 1 and almost always the best episodes of the season are directly preceded or followed by one of the worst episodes of the entire show

Yeah, my other workaround is because the default desktop mode has a mode shift between gamepad and kb+m (hold down start for a couple seconds) I bound my emu specific binds like an emulator menu or save states to the gamepad mode only, keeping the functionality of the regular desktop mode

I still enjoy the controller because the trackpads are a major plus for my usecase (since I use desktop Bazzite not game mode) and because I have big ass hands but I definetly wish you had a little bit more options for separating the controller from steam input

well, I haven't tested gyro, just other features

it is definitely annoying and I think a casualty of valve designing the controller for the game mode on the steam deck and steam machine first and foremost

I've found on Linux at least that it works without big picture but you have to set up your desktop controller settings accordingly

after a while I kinda just had to view it as the buffy equivalent of "nobodies don't have hearts" (ie the information given initially is flawed and from biased sources like the Watchers who don't want the slayer to ever try and save anyone who's already been vamped)

the main thing is that while the way they baked some of the shading and hand drawn look into the redone textures is neat looking it still doesn't mesh with 7's backgrounds which are very Silicon Graphics-core, they look more like ff9 models than 7 ones

yeah I've poked around with those mods they don't really look that great There is one that keeps the chibi proportions but changes the details to look more like nomura's concept art which is neat but still doesn't quite have the same charm as purple Lego Cloud

Fields of Mistria (PC): Just a delightful stardewlike. As someone who started a stardew playthrough earlier this year but ended up dropping it I think Mistria improved on it in several mechanical ways, to say nothing of the writing and cast. I do wish the endgame felt as good as the beginning though

The Incident At Galley House (PC): Neat little mystery game. I think I liked the publisher's previous game (The Roottrees Are Dead) a little more, but this one is still very well told, with great voice acting and a really cool central mechanic. Looking forward to whatever these folks do next.
