The thing to understand about “Black conservatives” is they are the kind of successful breed energized by the pat on the head, kind nod, and occasional dog biscuits they( Positive reinforcement) get from White Conservatives, when they can do the tricks they are taught, bark, say hello, and fetch !

The people who made me. Working at the tobacco factory was the best job you could get, hard, long, and reliable, house in the burbs, above ground pool in the back, big satellite in the front yard. Not bad for a man who never graduated from high school, hard working, overtime, ignoring chest pain.

The people who made me. I remember momma slowly climbing the steps of the old row house where we rented the upstairs. She would cry all the way up because her knees arthritic and painful would hurt her so much as she walked and she could release the tension built up from being yelled at.

I belive that Cheyenne Bryant was given the privileges of credibility strictly because of her appearance (Pretty Privilege) not raw intelligence but breast size and skin completion . Had she been a heavy dark skinned women , no one would have given her a chance ,

12 years of podcasting, no commercials , no ads , no promotions , no grants , no money . But It’s a great award winning podcast. There were hundreds of pod podcast that spent hundreds of thousands producing stories and now they are broke. Like I always have been.

The loss of animals reguarly feels solitary and deeply painful with a strong sense of guilt for being unable to protect them.

it’s not easy being older in a youth, obsessed, industry being rural in a world dominated by big cities, being black in a space where whiteness sets the tone, being serious in a room full of performers, being grounded among people who talk fast, and being someone who’s lived a real life.

What makes me different from the vast majority of Black American thought leaders who have fought their way up to be a part of the elite media is the vast majority grew up middle class, went to elite schools and learned to perform intellectualism and they inherited networks
