tried making dark choc and chilli brownies. they were really popular but there's a few things i gotta fix for next time: grind the chilli powder finer, maybe use anchos and guajillos instead of aleppos, more cinnamon.

I tried making a raspberry caramel slice using some ideas from a few different recipes rather than just following one. Needs some work but I was kinda chuffed to have baked a thing that wasn't just following a recipe

quiche for dinner. crust and filling both from recipetin eats. by far the best shortcrust recipe i've tried and i've tried a heap. quiche was real tasty too!

met up with some really good friends today. we hadn't gotten together as a group in ages so it i wanted to bake something really special. this is the blackberry caramel tart from 'dessert person' by claire saffitz and it is an absolute winner

They're so good!! When we were staying in Shinjuku we went to the cafe in Shinjuku Chuo park TWICE because of how good their pancakes were. Legit one of the most memorable food experiences we had
