I'm enjoying that the competing film which everyone is citing as evidence that Digger goofed is adapted from a complex novel but appears to have a big ol' hole in the middle, is lacking in execution, and is carried entirely by the lead cast.

There might be a good film hidden deep in VERITY, with some interesting ideas, but flat direction and a contrived, poorly structured script drain it of any life or enjoyment. Dakota Johnson and Anne Hathaway do what they can, but they can’t save it.
