My wife once played Doom 2016, and only used the pistol because it never ran out of ammo .. I can see why she did it, but it sticks out as a "played the game wrong" moment because theres so much of the Doom experience you miss out on by doing it

Tenebrarium music finally finished , guhhhgh It's only 12 minutes, but moves around a lot, really quite happy with it. I love making music but it takes me so long that I'll be happy to cross it off the list. Time to finish the game 🦀

I never saw/heard of anyone doing it, and don't really mind people 'exploiting' it, but I noticed a bunch of thoughts being offered at once messed up the hiveminds idea selection, and bugged the animations. Still possible to brute force thoughts, I just wanted it to work better

It will 'refuse' new thoughts while its actively propogating an idea-virus. This only really happens if you're spamming a specific item to force thought creation, though. Usually thoughts are created on a timer, so none are wasted

The aliens in my game socialise, which is how they gain thoughts to offer their hivemind. It's a weird little colony simulator, and these creature-driven behaviours are a nice way to do 'events' like other colony sims have. #WishlistWednesday #GameDev #IndieGame

Maybe I still have rotten econ brain, but when thinking about modern Technology, my benchmarks are things like fridges, washing machines, microwaves. Unambiguously 'good' inventions. In the last 30 years, even the value of The Internet is debatable. LLMs? Easily making the world worse, easily

In a crowded field, the most repulsive thing about gen AI might be the ability to make ragebait videos purely to farm clicks. E.g. dashcams of horrendous drivers, ringcams of deranged neighbours, etc. There should be laws preventing you degrading the social fabric like this!
