This week our Whaley4Wards volunteers are sprucing up Footsteps Café. Joe, Bill & Ian are giving the café's woodwork some TLC to make it look smart again. If you'd like to help keep Whaley looking lovely e: townclerk@whaleybridgetowncouncil.gov.uk. W4W is a committee of Whaley Bridge Town Council.

The photo shows three men working with power tools and brushes on a traditional shop front window, which is set into the wall of an old limestone building on a quintessentially British country village high street. Behind the group is a dark blue Victorian wrought iron and glass canopy on a neighbouring business.
The sun is shining.
The shop window is decked out with Union flags and World War 2 paraphernalia to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.
