With Pete and I being roughly the same size, Jane has forced us to adopt certain brands or colors for socks, etc. for the sake of laundry sorting. It will get even more murky once Rick catches up.

Sure, the weather is an indicator, but the changing of the guard in sport is more of tell on the changing of the season. MLB Playoffs are hitting their stride, preseason hockey is getting started, football's reaching some bye weeks, and some Timberwolves are stirring in their den.

I could look deeply at all the pros and cons, benefits and demerits, but the main reason I save the second half of my sandwich is because if I finish it I would be sad that there's no more sandwich.

In all the years we've lived here, we're finally experiencing being able to walk to one of the kid's things. Rick's soccer games are a jaunty 10 minute walk away from the house. Or, if you forget the shinpads, a 6-7 minute jog-walk-jog-walk-jog-walk (man, I've got to start running again).
