COMMENTARY: Don’t believe it when they tell you they are only going after “waste, fraud and abuse” to shore up Medicaid. Medicaid has mechanisms for dealing with waste and fraud, and it represents an infinitesimal amount of overall spending, writes Ellen Allen. westvirginiawatch.com/2025/07/31/i...

COMMENTARY: The introduction of a $200,000 lifetime borrowing cap in the budget bill puts students in a financial chokehold, restricting opportunities before students even have a chance to crack open a casebook, writes Nyjilah Webb. westvirginiawatch.com/2025/07/30/b...

COMMENTARY: For those who have been following the state’s opioid epidemic over the years, it probably came as no surprise more than half of the money cities and counties spent last year went to law enforcement, writes @leannray.bsky.social. westvirginiawatch.com/2025/07/29/w...

COMMENTARY: I am a proven fiscal conservative who wants a balanced federal budget. Otherwise, we are leaving our children and grandchildren a tremendous crisis which will blow up in their lifetimes, ruining the U.S. economy, writes Jack Bernard. westvirginiawatch.com/2025/07/28/b...

COMMENTARY: What these people don’t realize is that they’re being puppeteered by a well-financed, coordinated campaign to make them hate their fellow human beings. These tactics have consequences, and they can cost young people their lives, writes Nico Lang. westvirginiawatch.com/2025/07/24/l...

COMMENTARY: Whether or not Sheedy sent the letter, the letter needed sending. West Virginia came to the polls for Trump. But he took his time in returning the favor and making a Major Disaster Declaration for the June floods, writes leannray.bsky.social. buff.ly/P67lwKv
