Alpaca Male - The Walter Pistols

Three very different songs, all recorded on 4-track portastudio. Track 1 is a straight alt-rock tune that becomes reminiscent of The Doors towards the end. Trac

And now it's time for the women's 25 centimetre synchronised springboard event... #ducks #diving #funny #nature

Two female mallard ducks are standing on a branch overhanging a weed-filled pond. The one on the left is looking nervously at the one on the right, as if summoning the courage to jump.

Think I am going to be an AI vegan from now on... Sorry for no alt text on this, but you can probably guess what happened when I used Google to search how to turn off its AI overviews.

Alpaca Male is our new EP, only on Bandcamp until 30 May when it goes live everywhere else. This is the third track, a strange tale possibly based on a 1980s conspiracy theory... thewalterpistols.bandcamp.com/track/perhaps

Abstaining doesn't count either - it's a no and risk losing the whip becoming an independent MP and not crawling back when they give you false promises again. Anything less will NOT DO.

If you're in the Labour party and oppose the Supreme Court ruling AND the upcoming cuts to disabled people and DON'T defy the whip to humiliate the monsters that control your party - you'll be deemed complicit from hereon in.

Shit times for so many people right now but at least Spring's sprung (sprang/sprong/spreng?)

View across a disused Victorian lodge (a kind of mill reservoir) on a bright early spring day, with almost clear blue sky. Location: Top Lodge, whitehead's Lodges between Lowercroft and Ainsworth, Bury.

New mix of our most popular track, not formally released yet. Sounds like the offspring of The Chameleons and Can (only not as good, but I'm pretty happy with it.) Exact same video as 2021 version. Love to hear comments.

Been struggling to create a suitable video for this 2024 release, but I like the way this old silent short works with it. The dancing pig seems both hilarious and grotesque. Unlisted on YouTube atm but the link works. Would love to hear feedback, positive or negative. Thank you! youtu.be/l8_OZOU64u0

Just for us BSkyers, here's a link to our unlisted visualiser video. I'm waiting approval from two band members, hoping you might have some views that persuade them. Song is (for us) boppy and light, vid is like mixing mushrooms and speed (so I'm told!) What do you think? youtu.be/N484WfNB7dU

I guess most of you already know what special day it is - today's the day the teddy bears have their picnic! Sorry, no, it's when musicians on #Bandcamp keep a bit more of what folks pay them. 'Course there's still taxes, paypal fees, more taxes, but hey... thewalterpistols.bandcamp.com

In the aftermath of storm Bert, you can see the power of water at this weir. Built in the late 18th century, it was the start of the power feed to two cotton mills on the Irwell. Now there's just a lot of energy being wasted. Would love it if we could harness this into a local #hydropower supply.

Ableism. The -ism that those in power never take seriously, despite almost 1/4 of UK having some form of disability. This poor guy was refused entry to a restaurant because of his guide dog, and when he argued this was illegal two other diners told him to leave cos he was spoiling their meal!😡

Back when we couldn't do anything together in lockdown, some old 4-track cassette demos re-emerged, so we decided to see what we could turn them into. This is one of the songs from that time, and we thought it was worth adding a video too. Hope some of you guys like it! youtu.be/UIj4RBBa6Pg?...
