Thank you! I comped it because Miles deals with wanting to keep his friend with him even though he’s dead. I feel like it still brings up the question of immortality in a sense. Is keeping him “alive” as a spirit really better than letting him go?

Cole has found a way to side-step "switching" in a world where people are forced to constantly swap bodies: she knows of a secret city where a permanent body is possible. Permanency would mean a chance to reunite with her first love. This is assuming the side-step is the secret city.

Very intriguing! Personally, I would love a MC name. Also, I feel like the last part could be connected. "...what the Faith hunted, but what they created." For some reason the separation makes it sound like they created the "real horror." That might just be me though. haha

This is a fun premise. I wonder if the first sentence could be stronger though. It can easily come across as adult because the topic. Maybe it can be framed more from a MG perspective. "6th-grader Ash already feels the doom of deciding a career. He can't even decide..." or something like that.

Thanks you! The issue is more of the rules of the afterlife they need to follow. While his parents understand, they still need to follow the rules and overall want what’s best for him. Thanks for pointing that out. I wonder if I can incorporate those stakes into the pitch better.

Love this. It’s marked as a thriller but based on the title is it also a dark comedy? Just curious. In the first line, I’m not sure “then actually” is the best word choice. Maybe “before becoming the murderers themselves” or something along those lines? Right now it reads as kind of unimportant.

I would definitely read this. I think the pitch is strong but the order of things could improve. I would also include the main character’s name. Something like “After her friend’s tragic death, NAME travels to Ireland for closure. Instead, she finds…” It’s just a little more direct.
