The Children of the World part is a bit blurry but the tee shirt quality is quite nice. I'm happy - and thank you all for the encouragement! I need to get some more Bee Gees merch, clearly!

I realize, I didn't post the picture of the shirt!

And we even now know who voted & for what timeframe. Very cool.

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 10/10/2026

That definitely makes sense! I wonder how it did get there!

Nothing says 1977 more than a Stormtrooper and R2-D2 showing up!

120

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I knew you'd find out! And it confirms your theory about Olivia hosting, not Cher 😀

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 09/10/2026

I forgot we'd discussed this one! What I'm puzzled by is who "made" these awards & voted on them & when because this is September 1977 & "On and On" and "Everything" were both hits in the summer! And where is that Rock Music Hall of Fame? 🤔

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 08/10/2026

Pretty sure I watched that Welcome Back Kotter (fan! I even still have my poster) and then either the Rock Music Awards or Hawaii 5-0.

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

I’ll have to see how to upload - and see where it is in my files!

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

No, I like this too, but it’s sort of more like Rhapsody in Blue too - it’s fast. It’s from this time, though.

120

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

No, sadly. Starts with about a minute long piano and maybe a horn/clarinet improv that’s sort of like “Take Five”/lounge-y into the synth part. And it was Henley by himself.

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

I actually like that version 😁

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

He turned it into a disco dirge - I made it through the first line and that was it!

But wow, you always find the coolest research bits!! That long history plus all the shows.

020

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

On a tangent, I could swear there was a Don Henley King Biscuit in the 90s - it had the best version of "New York Minute" - it had this long, jazzy intro & I can't find Henley in that list! I have my digitized recorded on a cassette version, but I'd love a better version. Sigh.

$15 was a big amount for most shows then. That tells you how long ago it was, too, that they came to Jax, not Tampa or Orlando.

And I don’t remember this on the news either! ARGH! But that’s our mayor and that was definitely our motto!

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

Absolutely - it was wonderful 😃 I wish they’d release it on DVD!

The sunrise shots are amazing!

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 05/10/2026

That was the top price and I was WAY up in the arena! This was before screens of course, so they looked like action figure size!

It does look like the same place, that's what I thought you meant. Those trees certainly looked the same as I remembered.

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 03/10/2026

I saw it for a minute this morning and thought that it had to be the same! I could swear that interviewer is familiar too.

Great thread! I'd add Magnum, Stingray, Riptide, and The A-Team for sure 😀

2 hour Magnum, tape Head of the Class for after

Jacksonville, FL. What was hilarious is that the affiliate screwed up once and aired the last few minutes of the conclusion to a cliffhanger at the right time!

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Soap. So scandalous that in my market, they aired it Saturday night against SNL. Then Python.

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Pretty sure I watched Law & Order on TNT, then Now with Bill Moyers later. I'd add Dinner and a Movie "Galaxy Quest"

You are definitely not creepy! I absolutely love reading you & @howdythere.bsky.social tracking down the details. Our little troupe of Bee Gees peeps is the best! I'm always happy to see what new fact you've traced down. I'm especially in awe of how you find out not only when but the obscure where!

130

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 17/09/2026

I am always gobsmacked at how you all can track down all the things! It's fun to read 😀

He doesn't even have to open his mouth - what is that hair? That's proof positive that no one is in control around him either.

Follow-up - bought it! Thanks for all the info! I haven’t bought a piece of Bee Gees merch in ages! You’ve all inspired me.

I remember thinking as the opening title music came on, that this was going to be the Trek I wanted (and TMP sadly wasn’t for me) when Horner added back in the original Courage theme, and then it was just fantastic. I wore that soundtrack out.

020

LastM @westm6570.bsky.social · 08/09/2026

This was absolutely electrifying to see back in the day in a theater. Whole audience was into it and the music carried it, from the opening.

Thank you! Definitely going to take advantage of the sale, then!

Barney Miller, then at 9, three things! Hawaii 5-0, Ellery Queen or Ascent of Man (but that's a repeat so...), then Monty Python at 10! Great night of TV.

I'm on Fbook because there are maybe 3 people I don't see on other socials that I know so I keep the account. That & I somehow ended up following the Big Bear eagle doings. I keep thinking about dropping it. But I'm part of GSI so I'll go look - thanks for the tip!

Thank you for the info! I'll look at that one too 🙂I love that song, it's probably my favorite of all.

Hey #BeeGees peeps - has anyone bought a shirt from the official store? They've got a sale going this weekend & a Children of the World tee I am looking at, so was just wondering...thanks!
