My average blood sugar is down nearly 40 points already. From 180 to around 140. What a good start to the year!! Let’s get it down to an average of 120!

Don’t get me wrong. Where I am now isn’t great. But it’s better. And as long as I see improvement, I’m happy. Now, if I could get over 1200 calories a day. Or even 800. But I had a doctor that told me that there was no “bottom” to fewer calories… Really messed me up. I’m trying to break that.

TW: health and weight talk. I have trouble with my blood sugar. And this year, I’m working on fixing that. I got myself a cheap continuous monitor, and it’s been so inspiring to see what’s doing what. I’ve also come down about 50 points. Seeing what affects it has been super useful.

My blood sugar. Was consistently high over 200, is now 153.

Having seen what rabies can do, all four of my strictly indoor only cats are up on all of their shots. There’s no question. Keep them vaccinated. Keep them current. Keep them safe.

Hates it, but we took him to the vet again today (you have to keep an eye on their kidney function with this med) and they took his blood sugar. He was at 490 when he was first in. He is now at 206. 206!!! From nearly 500!!! He also has no ketones in his urine. The meds are doing good!!

Wasn’t putting any weight back on. We also saw he was drinking a ton, peeing a ton, eating ravenously, and had fairly poor coat condition. My guess was diabetes. To the vet we go! He, like me, is diabetic. That explains everything. No big deal. We get him on an oral med, once a day, he

We need to be sure to make it VERY CLEAR that they have done this. They will try to make it other parties faults when they are voted out, as these things don’t start till after they are gone. Like the “tax on tips” ends after this cycle. (But the millionaire tax cuts don’t, weird that)

I feel like even people who approach me would be all “ugh, got to draw this awful, boring character now.” Even folks with open slots have been like “Nah,” and it’s totally okay to say no to doing something, but, I just got turned down so many times that there’s clearly something wrong with mine.

I really want to get some art, but I’ve been rejected a few times for having awful boring characters. I can’t approach anyone anymore. My last time trying was months ago, and the thought of doing it gives me legit anxiety. Can’t even think about it without the anxiety. My characters are awful.

Bookbinding is a thing I love. So knowing about stuff like this is sort of part of it. (I bind books in cotton fabric. I just got my hands on some (bovine!) leather, so I get to give that a shot soon. :)

A couple of books that I have bound myself! The covers are colorful cotton and the pages hold white paper or a variety of pride flags.

One of the people who researched these books and was able to get some hands on experience with them says that when you hold one, you can tell it’s human. The pores and flaws and hairs that may be left are just too alike your own, and the comparison is too real.
