Wet meadows are our region's second most important water reservoir after snowmelt, so restoring the land in California Park is important. Our crews build rock structures that help fill in channels created by cattle and elk, allowing water to be absorbed and stored in the meadow longer.

Modern wildfires burn hot, scorching soil and making it hard for the forest to regrow on its own. Luckily, there's a lot humans can do to help. Check out this story by @jillbergman.bsky.social to learn more about these fires and how we can care for the forests in after they burn.

To learn more, visit yvsc.org/electric-vehicle-ambassadors/or send a question to info@yvsc.org to talk to a real live EV Expert. Thanks to Drive Electric Colorado for the information in this post!
Are electric vehicles just as bad for the environment as my gas car?EVs run more efficiently than gas cars and they have no tailpipe emissions, so are much better for the environment. A gas powered vehicle is 40% efficient, and a comparable EV is about 80% efficient, so you get better mileage for your power supply.EVs also produce fewer emissions over their lifetime, especially as the electric grid comes from more renewable sources in the future.Source: driveelectriccolorado.org/discovering-evs/ev-myths-and-myth-busters/
