The biggest argument in favor of Linux is the Windows Terms of Service. Microsoft collects an eye-watering amount of data on us, and the scope of that collection expands constantly. Admittedly, there is a learning curve. Like learning to change oil, there will be frustration and muttered cursing.

MacBooks are overpriced. I say this as someone who recently bought one. The screen, battery life, and trackpad are good, and I prefer Mac OS over Windows. But the keyboard is extremely disappointing.
