I was hopeful that by the time his master Satan's icy dong had melted, Donald of Orange's reign of error would be over. No such luck.

For context, this is what she splooged her "act like an adult" quip to. She's a silly dolly.
SH in queet:
Perhaps it's because a mug's game set up for people to "defend" their personhood? Come on, Brianna. Is the money really worth it? Phrased differently, make me an offer I can't refuse.
B. Wu original skeet:
Frustrating that we cannot get progressives to come on Dollcast to defend ideas like self-id, non-binary, and instant HRT. Conservatives are beating down my door to come on.
We asre not even a debatey show.
It's hard not to conclude they just can't defend their ideas.

it only took Wu 3 minutes to block me over here.
B. Wu "One of our rules for guests is you have to be able to act like an adult"
S. Helms: "Cool. I'm 71, kiddo. Beat you there, I think. Transitioned 27 years ago. I know you're all gwowed up and whatnot, but as far as I can tell, your rules shut me out. Visit me in the home once you jump out of the sandbox, child.

But, there's a clue here. What is in "the definitions of these rules"? Let's have a look: " 'Men/Male/Boy' means an individual with chromosome XY. " " 'Women/Female/Girl' means an individual with chromosome XX. "

This, in section 4.2.1: "Boxers will compete against boxers of the same gender, meaning Women vs Women and Men vs Men as per the definitions of these Rules." and a reference to "testing" in 4.2.2., but still no mention of WHAT any such tests are for.
110
Stephanie Helms @wesail.me · 01/08/2024
Now, if you open that .pdf and scan its table of contents looking for "gender", you won't find it. What you will find is "Membership and Athlete Eligibility". And if you go to that section, you will find...
121
Stephanie Helms @wesail.me · 01/08/2024
Weird, no? Instead, you'll need to look for under "Documents". You might expect there would be one specifically related to "eligibility", but you would be wrong. Instead, you will find what you need in a .pdf : "IBA TECHNICAL & COMPETITION RULES".
100
Stephanie Helms @wesail.me · 01/08/2024
You will not find them on a text search of their web site. If you search "woman eligibility criteria", you'll get the press release from yesterday.

The International Boxing Association in its statement yesterday regarding Imane Khelif and Lin Yu Ting says it wasn't a T test, but "a separate and recognized test" showing they "did not meet the eligibility requirements" of the IBA for women's competition. So, what are they?
Clip from 31 July Statement od the International Boxing Association: We wish to make the following points in these regards:

On 24 March 2023, IBA disqualified athletes Lin Yu-ting and Imane Khelif from the IBA Women’s World Boxing Championships New Delhi 2023. This disqualification was a result of their failure to meet the eligibility criteria for participating in the women’s competition, as set and laid out in the IBA Regulations. This decision, made after a meticulous review, was extremely important and necessary to uphold the level of fairness and utmost integrity of the competition.

Point to note, the athletes did not undergo a testosterone examination but were subject to a separate and recognized test, whereby the specifics remain confidential. This test conclusively indicated that both athletes did not meet the required necessary eligibility criteria and were found to have competitive advantages over other female competitors.

Screw the NYT. That f'n paper.
From Mark Sumner of Daily Kos's live coverage of the Trump trial:
"UPDATE: Tuesday, Apr 30, 2024 · 1:01:04 PM EDT · Mark Sumner
I’m pointing out this post from Alan Feuer at The New York Times not because I agree, but because it very much shows the attitude of the Times and some other outlets.

The gossip industrial complex that Keith Davidson is describing is remarkable — and remarkably crass. He’s out there leveraging his client’s sexual liaisons for money and employment opportunities in a way that resembles a Mafia shakedown.

Notice that it’s McDougal’s effort to find some means of compensation after her long affair with Trump that’s “remarkably crass” and not the fact that a married man had an affair with a much younger model at a time when his wife was pregnant.

Saving those backhands for the little people. It’s what they do."

Opinion here. www.ca4.uscourts.gov/opinions/221... Of note, wryly, the Dissent cites the 1993 Merriam-Webster's Collegiate Dictionary's definition of Transsexual. The dissenters probably hated grunge. Unlike them, 2024's Merriam Webster has listened to the language, and music, since.

As a child of the 1950s and '60s, I have not forgotten the ignorance and misunderstanding of my plight as a trans kid, but I have forgiven those who had not way to understand an "impossible girl". We do, and should, know better today.

My son has lived his entire life male. Even when we weren't on board! He is now almost a teen and has never wavered. All his friends are male, he loves school and sports. He will now not get blockers and be forced through female puberty. This is child abuse. I know. I'm his mum.

"This trans girl who isn't out a school is getting sugar pills instead of hormone blockers. Her classmates are going to have a little surprise when her biological hormones kick in"
[Third Panel, Cass and two young boys. Thought balloon]
"This trans boy who gets bullied a lot for how he looks was excited to start testosterone so he could better focus on school, but he's only getting saline injections. It'll be such good data once he eventually drops out of school."

(Should be < 18) That's over the past 5 years. And in 2021, 42,000 were diagnosed with Gender Dysphoria. Diagnosed. .05% of that population. Rapid Onset Political Frenzy on the backs of trans people, especially trans youth.
Stats on Puberty Blockers 2017-2021:
"Over the last five years, there were at least 4,780 adolescents who started on puberty blockers and had a prior gender dysphoria diagnosis."

That's all it takes: one person gets "freaked out" and a girl gets dogpiled and threatened. This is why these bills do the opposite of their supposed intent to "protect women and girls". It's based primarily on the perception of gender =performance= on the part of anyone.

It does not matter what absurdities they get up to. The ultimate object is to make trans people disappear entirely from every field of life, whist policing cis people's conformity to gendered expectations.

In 1970 my friend told me that a family dinner with Schelling he describe his telling Kissinger that he could never speak with him again because of the secret bombing of Cambodia and the subsequent US invasion. The Rand Corp, in their obit honoring their associate, mentions that episode.
Text of Rand Copr obit for T. Schelling:
"In the early 1960s he chaired a number of interagency committees responsible for nuclear weapons policy, one of which “brought into being the 'hotline' between the Kremlin and the U.S. government,” he wrote in a biographical essay on the Nobel Prize website. He noted that his government work ended when he led a group of Harvard professors to Washington for a meeting with President Nixon's national security adviser, Henry Kissinger, to declare their opposition to the U.S. invasion of Cambodia.

In the 1970s and '80s, Schelling turned his attention to new problems, including addiction, segregation and climate change. He considered global warming to be as critical to the 21st century as arms control was to the 20th century, “namely an immense challenge to 'cooperation and conflict,'” he wrote in the Nobel essay."
