This was inspired by stories of real-life “tunnel rat” units — but it's purely fictional and not tied to any real history. He travels with two trained rats: one with sharp sight in the dark, and the other with a nose for blood.

I designed this back in 2020. The armor is based on a medieval torture device, the Iron Maiden — worn like a sacred relic. She swings a chained cross containing the relics of a saint, as both weapon and burden.
