Funny, the hardest product to delete was WhatsApp. Luckily Signal & iMessage were acceptable communication for friends and family in Europe.

California residents have a legal right to access the data that companies collect about them. Actually exercising that right is a burdensome nightmare.

Buy a side of beef and put it in the freezer. We get a quarter of beef that feeds our red meat need for a year.

As I have said before. It’s never going to change until enough people feel pain to want change. This country is too full of greedy selfish people.

We have a government and country built on greed. It’s never done for the people. Standard time is for the people. Daylight savings time is for business.

I spent a lot of time trying to figure out what was the best way to protect my privacy without being paranoid about it. Removing myself from the free e-mail services was the best thing I have done. Nothing is ever free in this country. There is no privacy with free e-mail.

I couldn’t agree more! That’s why I only keep it around as a backup. For everyday e-mail Fastmail is my choice. You actually have to pay for it, but they don’t scan your e-mail, no ads and fantastic customization. Great masked e-mail to hide your real e-mail address. They encrypt all e-mail at rest

Proton is good, but not great. They have had to much controversy for my taste. Tuta has a hard stance on privacy. Proton doesn’t encrypt the meta data (e-mail address & subject). You might as well keep regular e-mail. Tuta encrypts all the data!

I am also a big fan of of Signal for encrypted communications, especially if you are not using Apples iMessage for messaging . Now if we could just get encrypted RCS texting turned on everywhere. Tuta is the future of encrypted e-mail and storage. Tuta.com I keep this as a backup.

I did this a few years ago. I went as far as investing in YubiKeys. Yubico.com Everyone should have a good password manager. 1Password is good, but it stores all your personal logins in their cloud. Strongbox is a better choice for iOS/MacOS people as it is built for local storage.

It’s time to start investigating other avenues to build resiliency in our careers. This country is built on greed and doesn’t care about anything other than feeding the investors.

Definitely Copenhagen in July! I have been there many times in all seasons and the vibe is so fun and relaxed. Visit the Danish national museum and the design museum. If you enjoy great brews & BBQ visit Warpigs Brewpub! Also Kødbyens Fiskebar is a must visit. Incredible seafood restaurant.

It must be seriously root bound. Many plants don’t bloom unless they are root bound. Snake plant is another example.

Yes, and they have giant vents to deal with all the pollution produced by burning gas. We don’t vent burnt gas into our homes from our natural gas furnace! A lot of homes don’t have vents capable of this kind of air movement. And lots of modern homes don’t even vent the air outside!

Induction is the way! Gas stovetops leak gas along with burning it in your home makes air quality in house much worse than outside. Natural Gas is not clean and contains benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylene, and hexane. These chemicals cause cancer.

Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact, and that is that everything around you that you call life was made up people that were no smarter than you. And you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use.

When you grow up, you tend to get told that the world is the way it is and your life is just to live your life inside the world, try not to bash into the walls too much, try to have a nice family life, have fun, save a little money. But life, that’s a very limited life.
