NEW: Many of the things you buy every day would’ve been cheaper this year if it wasn’t for President Trump’s tariffs. He’s making a choice to cost you money with his trade war.
An excerpt from a CNBC article highlighting inflation from President Trump's trade policies.

Folks in Brattleboro have the same concerns as the other Vermonters I’ve during my Common Grounds tour. They want Congress to lower the cost of health care, energy, and housing, rather than giving tax cuts to the wealthiest Americans. I’ll keep fighting to bring us out of this affordability crisis.

This isn't justice. This doesn't keep us safe.
Most of the children, dressed formally with neatly styled hair, waited impatiently for the judge. Among the first to appear before the judge was a 13-year-old Honduran boy named Angel. He didn’t have an attorney.

Asked whether there was a reason he couldn’t return to Honduras, Angel told the judge, “My mom and almost my entire family are here. It’s too dangerous to go back.”

But that wasn’t enough for the judge, who told the boy he did not qualify for asylum. “Would you like to request voluntary departure, or should I issue a removal order?” The judge asked.

“I don’t know,” Angel replied before bursting into tears. He stared ahead stoically and continued to cry, eventually saying: “I have no one. I have nothing.”

A Vermont cheesemaker lost nearly $1 million in Canadian sales last year because of President Trump’s tariffs. This is happening all over the country, it’s choking our small businesses.
Mateo Kehler, co-founder and chief executive officer of Jasper Hill Farm in Greensboro, says he expected to ship nearly $1 million worth of artisan cheese north of the border last year, about 7 percent to 8 percent of the creamery’s annual sales.

But that business dried up within a month after President Trump announced 25 percent tariffs on most Canadian imports in February 2025 and then-Prime Minister Justin Trudeau countered with retaliatory tariffs on U.S. goods.

Just a few days ago, a clearly marked Doctors Without Borders bus was struck by an Israeli military airstrike. Now, President Trump has approved sending 40,000 one-ton bombs to Prime Minister Netanyahu. The U.S. can't continue to supply weapons being used to commit war crimes.
