Y shuffles, makes to get up, but X jumps to their feet. A little too fast, startling the man in the moment it takes them to find a stable footing. Their head is still spinning, and it takes them a moment to steady themself before they ask where to find a cloth. Y motions to a drawer, and with the fabric in hand, X kneels down next to him on the wooden floor. X flinches away from them, reaches for the fabric, but X shakes their head. "Let me, Captain."

Y grunts, takes a deep breath, then closes his eyes and waves for X to get it over with. It's curious, X considers, how he almost put up less of a fight before dropping to his knees than at the prospect of letting them take care of him.

The dry cloth is not ideal for cleaning, but they make due, carefully brushing it over Y's face first, then his chest, before returning a dry corner of the fabric to his face. With his eyes closed and his lips slightly parted, Y looks younger. X can't help themself, they drop the cloth and run their fingers over the man's scars. A wide one on his cheek, another on his forehead, a third cutting through his lip, almost mirroring their own.

When they catch his mouth with theirs, Y makes a sound of surprise, but he doesn't retreat, doesn't push them away. He doesn't touch them, either, simply remains still under X's lips, moving his own in tandem with kisses so chaste they surprise themself.
