some originals in this decade have been successful due to factors like cultural impact or good marketing (and here I am talking about THEATRICAL releases) and what about word-of-mouth? That contributes too, but unfortunately, it isn't as powerful as the other methods mentioned

the studio's animation relies on cartoonish designs and surprisingly good squash and stretch (not topping blu/e sk/y's tho) but features truly hyper-realistic textures which isn't really my thing
