at my job, some air compressors were not anchored to the ground, and sliding around a bit my best friend told me it imaged them sliding like curling stones on ice and suddenly I remembered that there are compressors with a very specific shape so i threw this together (NO AI)

#gmtk ‘s #wordplay is pretty cool. Just had a wonderful round built around the “if the word has at least eight tiles, get a random common upgrade” and “rare and legendary perks are more likely” modifiers. Colorful and powerful! Scoring 400k and scoring 20 tiles were fun!

“LAGGED+CLONED+STONEY” uses 20 tiles!
(But scored *only* 179,000 points)

Today's build: Only FIRE weapons that are on both fire arcana. I've rarely felt this powerful. I ramped up the curse on purpose because this was so ridiculous. One of the Atlanteans lasted under a second.

Final build damage/dps stats.
Heart of fire adds 50% damage.
Kardia Phlegeton has been over-performing. it's easy to get for how much damage it does.

What's a #vampiresurvivor build you have enjoyed? I like building a theme off of an arcana that I don't use very often. For instance, starting with Iron Blue Will, and only using weapons from that list.

EARLY thoughts on the new UNIONS in #vampiresurvivors Criteria 1) Are the weapons good early, mid-game, and late (endless not considered) 2) Offense, defense, and utility value 3) Passive item requirements 4) "Normal" survivor without an all-in build 5) Visual noise of the effects obscuring

FireStall (A tier)
Ok early, as the components create breathing space and damage, better than many union pieces.
The union surrounds you with high damage for strong offense and pretty good defense.
Feels good to build as there is no required passive item, each only needs 6 levels, and none of them obscure the view of your character.

Shimmering Sands (Kyra need Koroma)(C tier)
Components are weak and annoying and surviving might be a challenge. Needing a level in Koroma is part of that annoyance and challenge.
But then the union is strong enough to make the rest of most runs trivial.
You can almost ignore the enemies with this.

Road to Heaven (8 levels)(C tier)
I hate this, for multiple reasons, but mostly for the atrocious visual noise.
Components are weak, even with luck/curse control, and 108 Prayers feels especially useless with it's long cooldown.
The union is a breath of fresh air, as it has useful area and damage, but still not immediately powerful unless you already have a good luck/curse differential.
It's levels have massive impact on the game, as reducing curse by 90% is a wildly powerful effect without parallel, even before you see it's effect on damage.
This makes the rest of the run trivial, to the point that I didn't notice that this made you actually invincible, and I was confused as to why the reapers couldn't kill me.

Penshin Fatcha
Ok early, Good with about 2 evolutions, and then keeps getting stronger.
For power, it seems you should not get the final evolution, but it's very silly and fun to see.
Tonn'oddeeo (falling) seems to over-perform but Tonne (puddles) is the best defensively (and the funniest).
The upgraded vacuums are strong and the weapon doesn't require a passive item.

Silver Wind
Argent Flow "Shreds enemy defenses" indeed. It high damage with impressive healing.
But it's early stages are so bad at keeping you alive.
I might take it for fun if my build is already looking good AND I have capacity for two passives.

Scarlet Needle
Acceptable damage, but hard to use it to protect yourself. Defense and utility seem weak.
I'd be hesitant to take it as my only pummarola evo on a stage without pummarola as a stage item.

Incineration
Hard leveling choices, since leveling the base weapon provides low value, while the evo is strong.
Strong offensively AND defensively.
The blowback happens frequently enough to mitigate shields down issues, and looks sick.

Ashella
Base is decent early and maximizing it with unique movement is fun.
Lean into boosting +amount/crits or the evo under-performs.
I love the evo evolution leaving axes everywhere.

Screams from the Void (attractorb for Forbidden Siren)(B tier)
Good early weapon due to the retaliation but the base form falls off quicker than some.
Evo is potent defensively, if you have modest duration and cooldown.
The defanged enemies crowd out other enemies, and then are blasted backwards before they recover.

Blacken Firmament
The main effect of the base and evo are not good offensively or defensively.
The evo's black hole provides extreme defense, but there is lengthy shields down between activations. Shields down is an issue when the main effect is this week and requires the 100% curse of Torrona.

I can't see! XD weapons good with luck . 108's care about how high luck is for damage . "spirit tornado tip", "seraphic cry", "rune sword" like critical hits and "slash" arcana . "claimh solais" makes other weapons do more crit damage . "Cavendish" makes other weapons crit more often

Too much visual noise to play.
Caused by absurd area, cooldown, and amount.

#vampiresurvivors can be really silly. I was playing as Chula-Reh (changes his luck every 30 seconds). Used a luck build abusing "game killer" arcana (no more leveling) with survarots that start amazing and decay with leveling (like Porta Ladona's -90% cooldown)

Damn. I was VERY concerned about violet vessel with this #balatro build. I struggled finding base mult the whole run, and the red card came late, in a run that already had two rentals. I beat the blind by just 0.09%, which may be my tightest final round victory ever.

GOODNESS! I found an item called "emerald satchel" which copies every unused item. I just spent about 20 min carefully layering the order to make the most bonkers move possible that's what it looked like after ONE cantrip use... already 575 damage (trying to get 15 keywords on a single side)
